Hook ‘em, forgive some of us Longhorns fans that are Realists. Texas has beat 1 ranked team this year. Yes, they have a good record through 8 games. How many times have we seen this before? Sark has won nothing as a Head Coach to give us confidence he can win a Conference championship or go to the CFP. I sure hope you are right and hope this is the year but to act like you are incredulous because Horns fans are questioning Sark’s decisions makes no sense. Arch can play in 4 games and still Redshirt. Through 8 games he hasn’t taken a snap. Not a problem and understandable with Ewers (projected NFL pick) playing but he’s out for a few weeks. The backup did not look good so it’s human nature for everyone to ask why the #1 QB recruit in the Nation from the greatest QB family in the history of college football can’t get some snaps in a 35-6 blowout.

They probably don’t. Like you said they are teenagers. They probably don’t remember getting spanked by Newton last year in the playoffs and Harmony running right through Newton the following week. Should be a really good game!!

Time to give Manning a shot.

Why would they just show up and go through the motions in a game for the District championship. That makes no sense. They are playing the Regional Champions from last year who were 1 game away from going to Jerry world.

Not sure about heart but Harmony had the better team last year. The QB getting hurt is the reason DF won the game. Harmony brought everyone back this year. If QB stays healthy they should win this one.

Lobo, I agree 100%. Some of these dang arm chair QB Longhorn fans that have been hating on Manning is crazy to me. This DB2 fan that knows more than all the recruiting experts just doesn’t get it. Put Manning who is the future in the game and let’s roll. If Sark goes with MM and doesn’t give Arch his shot we all know the Franchise will be transferring and destined for greatness at another program. Texas program is in desperate need of another Colt McCoy or Vince Young. Ewers doesn’t have it and either does MM. Manning does and the time is NOW!!!

I am waiting till after this weekend to see how good the Defense really is. OU is by far the best Offense they have faced. I wish the Kansas QB could have played to but up to now have not faced a top notch QB. Can’t wait….

You do know that Redshirts can play in 4 games don’t you? It’s not like the old days. Arch is the future and should be getting some snaps along with Murphy.

With Baylor being one of the worst teams in the Big 12 this year and the game being completely dominated by the Texas Defense, anyone else wonder why Manning didn’t get any snaps? It makes me wonder if he will get any snaps all season. Murphy only had 1 pass attempt. When the game is out of hand and having virtually 0 experience behind Ewers you would think Sark would be getting these guys some reps.

Harmony!

Offense is outstanding. Even with the 3 turnovers, they can score quickly. The onside kick was executed perfectly even though Lindale was setup for it. The Gilmer receivers got behind the secondary all night. If the QB can learn to throw that deep ball a little better watch out. #1 can fly!! Great high school football game!!

Seems like some of the Gilmer fans are throwing in the towel awful early in the season. Lindale just lost to Van and the Gilmer fans think they are going to lose? Gilmer gets it going and hangs 50 on Lindale.

What have you seen from Ewers that indicates he would be a first round pick in the NFL draft? I haven’t seen anything. I’m sure if he’s not projected to go in Round 1 he will be back in Austin.
