I don't think Leach is a Hall of Fame Coach but very close. His Teams were on the cusp like him but never really got to the Championship level. I loved his Personality and Charisma. I also respected his candor and unpolitical views. It's still embarrassing the way Tech bowed down to Craig James on the BS with his Son and still believe that firing Leach was the worst mistake Tech has ever made. I do think we have some revisionist history on Leach and Mumme contributions to the Spread or as they call it the Air Raid offense. U of H and the Houston Oilers were running similar concepts well before Leach made his mark on Coaching. I understand respecting the Man on his passing but the Offense he ran had been around for Years. I respect his twist on it and applaud him for perfecting the System. RIP MIKE LEACH

I don't get this move either. I know they left the Southland because they wanted a better basketball conference. This makes no sense. Atleast in the Southland they had some rivalries that they have been playing for decades.

Do you think he's a better Coach than Briles? I'm assuming you are ok with giving the native Texan Briles a 2nd chance as well. My choice between the 2 would be Briles. My point is why do you need to bring in the baggage when you have unlimited resources and can money whip one of these young gun offensive wizards.

So does Art Briles! If you aren't worried about Character his Offenses have been more prolific than Petrino. Shocked that a prestigious school like Texas A&M would over look these transgressions. Makes no sense. Go hire a young gun. Coaches are leaders of young Men and Petrino is a poor example of this.

Hope Harmony can keep the Coach. . Harmony had a young Coach about 15 years ago who also brought a Stud son with him and left after 1 Season for a job in the same classification that paid $25k more per year. Harmony hasn't been known to pay much and hopefully they will step up and pay Jenkins! Hard to blame the younger Coaches for pursuing higher paying jobs. Heck of a turnaround and Great season for the Eagles!

Neither one of these programs can support a FBS move. See Texas state with 3x the enrollment, better facilities, etc. They should get back in the Southland where they belong.

Not sure how Cali works but I remember when the Governor of Texas forced the new Big 12 to take Baylor and if they didn't then UT and A&M couldn't go. Houston, Rice, TCU, SMU and Baylor didn't get the invite from the SWC but Big 12 had to take Baylor.

I thought before this Season that King would end up at UTSA. They have the Senior QB leaving. Just think with the move up to the AAC that Traylor can probably find a better option in the Portal. Texas State would love to have him but can't see King transferring to a Sunbelt Conference cellar dweller.
