I'm getting off topic here and may get bashed, but just for clarification... I have a friend that is over the baseball strength and conditioning program for the University of Texas. He came to my wedding a few months back and as we were partying, he started to talk about how some of the guys that came to Texas as freshmen that played straight baseball were the weakest kids he had ever seen. Also said that the guys that were dual sport guys, mostly football, were really good in the weightroom. I asked if he had any guys that were straight baseballers from small schools and he said no, that most straight baseballers were from big schools and had no core. Also, regarding juco lifting, the best jucos, which he and I played for 2 of the best in Texas, didn't lift a weight as advised by the coaching staff. If you lifted, it was on your own. I've heard of some jucos lifting, but they didn't win many games. Not enough time in juco ball to lift...

I disagree. A 2 hr practice is a lot of time for a high school kid playing baseball to focus up...

I never practiced the sport I was playing during athletics. That's not uncommon at all. As for boot camp, I don't know. And which big colleges would care what an AD is doing during his athletic period?

It's beating a dead horse. UIL visited Celina yesterday. Said they were sorry and told them what the ref that blew the whistle said. Ref claimed he blew the whistle and had no idea of time remaining and after he blew the whistle, he saw baseline ref waving his arms like a "safe" call in baseball meaning time had expired so he ran off the court...

Who cares what happened in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarter of the game, Matt. There was a whistle blown before time expired and no call was made... That shouldn't happen. The majority of refs and umpires that have been a part of the games I've attended this year have been flat out terrible. I've never seen so many refs who don't understand intentional grounding in football or try to appeal to an umpire on the 3rd base side of the pitcher on a check swing....just terrible...

Clearly you didn't stop the youtube video at the 0:10 mark because it shows one foot down and the other in the air, deeming a step when it should've been both feet hitting the floor at the same time. Travelling violation, case closed.

Stop the video on exactly 0:10 of 1:24 and you see one foot on the ground and one still in the air, making it a clear travel. Although, I think the ref blew his whistle for a foul, even though it kinda looks like the Argyle girl surprised the Celina shooter by hitting the ball early in the shot...
