  1. They play hard, no doubt. They don't have the talent to play in Austin, much less the regional tournament.
  2. I have done research as well as swung a few myself. Marucci and Rawlings seem to have the larger sweet spots and resemble the old BESR bats te most. The Omaha is rough, but the z1000s are good, as well as the EXOs. If the kid is going to get drafted, then there is the explanation for the oppo HR.
  3. Well said sir. No more cappers and or off the handle hits.
  4. Must be a good hitter and strong kid. You can't say that about the average high school baseball player... Probably playing in a sand box of a field too...
  5. Last year around this time, b-nut had one of your guys in the same category as some of the top collegiate starting left handed pitchers. You backed that guy 100%. Now you question his motives makes me think he is a phony like I think he is. All errors have the routine effort tag unless it's a throwing error and runner advances. Atleast I didn't have to look it up. Most catches in the OF are considered routine and don't need decision making. The plays made on #### when the game is tight are when bad decisions are made, forcing dives, in-needed dives, etc...
  6. Having a pitcher that can strike people out is a bonus. You're going to have to pay attention to smaller details with the bats, as well as take advantage of the other teams defensive miscues. The teams that make the routine plays and are able to run the bases effectively will come out on top. The game is going to be played the same way, but runs will come far and few between.
  7. You can't relate to what being addicted truly is unless you have been through it or known someone close to you that has. Period.
  8. The weak district keeps being brought up, yet Cayuga has yet to win an outright district championship the past few years...
  9. If an OF does not touch the ball, it is not an error. Full rides to jucos are pretty common, by the way.
  10. Don't cry, refs are bad at anyone else's gym. It's called a road game...
  11. B-nut is more reliable, he clocked it with his 1930s stopwatch...
  12. About the best you'll see as far as 1A teams go. Hard throwing righty followed by a young righty that will probably improve as the season goes and I think the tall lefty is going to help out.
  13. You expect to lose to Carlisle and beat Cayuga? I would think those might be switched...
  14. Come on man. So 6 HRs heading into district and throwing no-hitters against every team in the district, what else can you predict?
  15. 5 tool is rare brother. This kid must have scouts all over him if that's a true statement...
  16. You can't be serious. If any of the above mentioned guys hit buddy hanson, he would've died. I can't remember the Harris kid from Kerens ever being held to few yards. He was good for 150 a game, atleast.
  17. Also saw him and Terrell Harris have a track meet of a football game against each other. There were so many yards gained, one of the referees passed out and has to be taken off in an ambulance.
  18. Saw him and Terrell Harris battle in Jacksonville.
  19. Haha, I'll save this post. Where are their two players going? Anywhere good?
  20. You don't have to tell them to miss or bring JV players up. Tell them to run through their offense till it repeats itself or make 7 cuts/passes/reverses or whatever when they're up by 50. Tons of things you can do to call off the dogs. Pressing the whole game is a bit over the top. Playing half court defense is fine. It's not the terrible teams fault they weren't raised around the fundamentals like WO or Tatum. Beating them by 80 just rubs it in their faces and it's not even their fault. No kid learns fundamentals without some guidance.
  21. This thread is ridiculous, from both sides of the argument.
