  1. It's the 2nd week of the season and the DField faithful are already turning on the team? The 3 year stretch of back to back to backs have ruined you guys. From what I've heard, your defense still flies around. They may not know where they're going or what their assignment is supposed to be, but hustle covers up a lot of mistakes on defense. Don't you guys have a QB with a good arm and 2 big receivers? That's a tall task for any 3A secondary. Don't count your team out just yet. However, I think if the Malakoff kids show up and execute, this game shouldn't be close. But DField is always one big play away from turning the game around and getting that "mo" on their side...

  2. Ok friend got u. Who was playing BB the next week. Knowing how to win means alot

Malakoff played BB the next week, no denying that. But NB did not dominate the game. If either team was close to dominating, it would've been Malakoff, even though it was a pretty even game. I think I heard your coach's interview after the game comment on how Malakoff was the best team they played and how they beat them in every stat, but the ball bounced the Lions way tonight... It went something like that. The horrible call when Malakoff punted and it deflected off NB return man and Malakoff clearly came up with the ball but the ref ruled him down when he didn't even fall?

  3. Dude, your defense scored 12 pts. Malakoff held the almighty NB running game to 70 yds maybe? And 45 came on the last play when they tried stripping the ball all the way down the field. NB got the bounces necessary to win a 3rd round playoff game. Pretty sure Malakoff played without a QB as well that game. Malakoff was just as good if not better than NB without a QB. But NB won, and you guys deserve the credit. Malakoff was certainly nobody's whipping boy though. They were impressive in their scrimmage I caught the other night and are going to be a handful for any 3A div 1 team this year. Don't start making excuses for DF...it's week 2 for everybody...

  4. You''re probably right, from 0-10 to 14-1 was surely a fluke. We're liable to go 0-10 again this year. At this point last year, we had pretty much the same team, no size & no speed & no chance of beating ANYONE. Even we did LUCK OUT and make playoffs last year it was amazing to see how outsized we were. There's simply no explanation as to WHY we ended up like we did. Everyone's bigger and faster and got more hosses than we do. I'm starting my list of excuses NOW, getting a head start of everyone else. Have pity on us guys, have pity on us!! ;)

You got 70 hung on you in the playoffs, shut up...

  5. If you're going to DH, you can't hit lead off. The DH is too valuable to be hitting lead off and choo has shown he's not comfortable in the middle of the line up. While I understand a good lead off means the world, your DH needs to drive in runs. Last year and this year, the DH has hit in the 7 and 8 holes it seems like the Rangers might as we'll let the pitchers hit... Ps, Moreland is not the answer for a DH. Take a look at the best teams in the AL and pull up their DH's numbers.... ie Vic Martinez, David Ortiz, Albert Pujols.... I know Red Sox aren't what they were, but they won it last year and Ortiz was the dh

  6.

I disagree on the Choo angle. The ankle has been the cause of most of his problems, except for boneheadedness in the outfield. He is best at DH. Lewis is pitching himself into another contract with the way he is throwing the ball. It does take a while to get use to functioning on an artificial hip

I had no idea of Choos ankle. Lewis is a dying breed. He sits at 88 with no movement. His ERA is a direct reflection of him squaring barrels up, or lack thereof...

  7. Kemp is injury prone and very streaky. Andrus will be fine. Hitting .270 at the top of the line up when in reality, he's prolly a bottom of the order guy. Choo has been a bust. Kinsler has been capable of what he's doing this summer, he just needed different scenery. Sardineas is not ready to hit big league pitching. Odor is way more promising at this point in their careers. They need to get a couple starters. No way in hell Lewis needs to be with the club starting next summer. Getting Prince back will help immediately, assuming he rounds back into what he usually is every summer.

  8. We've asked for a more competitive preseason schedule & by golly we got one. Gladewater (up & coming), Malakoff (sounds like a cupcake), ATL (idk), Gilmer (top tier), Henderson (back on the map). Hopefully it makes them better for District & the post season.

You and Cason are going to be in a for a big surprise week 2. You heard it here first...
