  1. Saw Italy a couple of times before district started and they didnt look that good and lost both games, what changed? Heard at those games they were waiting for approvals for transfers of move ins currently on JV and would be starting on varsity by time district started, said would be QB and another RB, was this rumor or true? I never thought Italy would get this far. I also read this earlier in the year on another site.
  2. Newton by 70, give or take a field goal.
  3. Like I said, thats another story and topic.
  4. Honey Grove by alot, Quinlan Boles doesnt have the speed or depth to hang with Honey Grove, and after 3 loses in a row which they should have won at least 2 of 3 if not all 3, they are probably feeling down and out.
  5. Yes, some will move up ,most teams do it. Especially the smaller classification schools and the ones who make it but dont have alot of depth.
  6. Grand Saline will get the win, home field and senior night i believe. Kemp score 40? Not a good bet, barely scored 40 for the year. As for their 3A competition the past several years? Most of all of their predistrict games were against 2A teams, some that are in there district now and they didnt do very well then either. Kemps and Grand Salines offenses are i believe about the same, but Kemps defense, special teams, etc., etc., are horrible in every way, they give up points like crazy in unimaginablee ways and quickly.
  7. Winnsboro by 10, Malakoff may even be up by a score at the half, but doesnt have the depth, reserves, or backups to keep it going, and run out of gas in the second half. Alot of underclassmen, not alot of veteren seniors, ahh but next year? But thats another story and topic.
  8. Franklin by a bunch, high scoring game maybe but Franklin scores more and puts the points on the board.
  9. Kemp hasnt won a game since 2010, 21 points scored last night is the most they has scored all year. Dont look ahead, but dont count on an upset either. Next 2 weeks for this district interesting and exciting, then really gets tough in bidistrict.
  10. Eustace takes it in a low scoring contest, ball and clock control churning it up on the ground over and over will win it for them. But i predict they will throw the ball 3 times at least to keep their ofense balanced.
  11. malakoff in a close one because of being at home, they seem to be a second half team also, they get behind too early by too much then it might be the other way around.
  12. Lone Oak in a close 1, defense too good, and score lower than expected or usual for both these teams.
  13. Lone Oaks defense is tough, especially against the run, will be a good match up. Not sure about their pass defense though. Those tall recievers may come in handy this week.
  14. Malakoff defense looked #### good, especially against the run and early. Had the one long pass for Mabank for their only score, a few passes in the 4th, except that looked good. They looked worn down in the 4th though, just dont have the numbers and substitutes like others to rotate in and out to stay fresh, will be a good and close game next week against Italy and their speed.
  15. Buffalo in a good and close one, running game for Buffalo the difference.
  16. Eustace over Rice Malakoff over Italy in a close one Redwater over Quitman Grand Saline over Scurry Rosser big Tatum over Winnsboro Lone Oak over Clarksville in a close one Ferris over Kemp big
  17. Alto by a couple of scores at the least, too much change and inconsistency at Elkhart.
  18. Mart by 3 scores, too much speed overall and consistency in the program, Teague keeps a staff and program going for a couple years will be a different story.
  19. Yes, i know, very negitive, just venting and frustrated. Both for the sports and academics. Kids and teachers frustrated also. Seemed like district was going in a good direction a few years ago in all ways but not so past couple of years. I just hope atmosphere as a whole improvesfor all, not just for my son and others there now, but for the future.
  20. Playoff contenders in no particular order: Eustace, Grand Saline, Lone Oak, Malakoff, Winnsboro a couple of good teams stay home. Will be tuff and competitive district, some good games, not decided until week 10.
  21. No people problems at Kemp now. Parking lot for most sports empty. With current athletic director and administration, all sports have went down hill, no, an avalanche. Hope you scheduled them for homecoming like a few others have in football. Same for basketball, baseball, etc. No district wins in boys basketball so far this season, 0-10 in football, no district wins in baseball last year, etc. Girls sports still border line though, they at least have a chance. Play offs in most sports 3-4 years ago, those coaches all gone now though. Group of kids in high school now were all successful in youth and junior high sports. I know academics come first, but has also went down there also. Great band though and arts. But dont miss basketball practice for debate club meet like my son last week, you will get punished for missing basketball practice and not start or play first half, shows my son whats more important. Alot of parents transfering their kids to surrounding schools for both academic and sports reasons. Atmosphere as a whole for kids and teachers not good.
  22. #### Trinity Tigers, beat my Sandies in 85 twice, once in a tourney, and once in district, had to share district title with them if I remember right, long time ago. But we made our way to state and brought the trophy back to Grapeland. So, same could possibly happen for Crockett also, its early, you just never know.
