  1. Good point. I really doubt he even plays. More of the ball boy type ;)
  2. Anyway you look at it Bullard would've been in the playoffs minimum in another district. Good luck to Henderson and Gilmer along with Kilgore in the next round. Go 16-3A
  3. Lets make it 11-1 too bad that two of them have to meet.
  4. Yeah I was wondering from the playoff members how Bullard stacked up to the teams that you've all played. Not that it changes a thing but I still feel sorry for the Bullard kids that played. My thoughts on the DOD is that the quality of teams from top to bottom is compared to others is what makes it so
  5. I have no idea where that came from. Sounded like a realist and honest opinion. One that I happen to agree with.
  6. Probably right Bullard is losing quite few seniors. But with Wilson anything is possible. He's in my opinion a great coach. But the biggest problem for Bullard will be keeping him.
  7. Yeah you don't need to remind me about my team being in the wrong district :(
  8. Not that I have any doubts I'm glad to see Gilmer, Kilgore and Henderson making waves. As a Bullard Panther fan I wasn't thrilled with the alignment as the UiL put 5 playoff teams from last year in the same district. I did have high hopes that Bullard could take one of those spots. But it just didnt happen. Now go out there and bring home a couple State Titles
  9. Sorry! Henderson rolls in this one. QF hasn't played a team close to this caliper. But they should be proud of their great season.
  10. Gilmer! From top to bottom 16 3A is by far the best district in the state. At least two teams that missed the playoffs not only would've made the playoffs in another conference but would've won the conference. And it's really sad for those teams that the UIL did that to them. So with that said Gilmer, Kilgore and Henderson have been playing playoff caliber teams during district play.
  11. Kilgore. Their defense will be the difference.
  12. Ok may be a bit of a homer, but 16 3A will sweep. The saddest part is that 16 3A has 2 other teams that would also win. I do believe that of all the 15 3A teams Van has the Best chance but don't believe it will have enough to beat Henderson. But has the best chance if they can get Henderson rattled and commuting stupid penalties.
  13. Congratulations Hornets great turn around to make the playoffs
  14. I understand that the UIL looks at travel distance as their main concern and rightfully so. But the amount of teams in each district usually can be fixed easily. Gilmer or Bullard could have moved easily to make 3 six team districts. It also seems like the ETex area always gains a 4A dropping to 3A. I actually was wondering how Bullard didn't end up in 15-3A last time as they always seem to move into the district with that 4A team that drops They got Gilmer, Lindale, Athens and Chapel Hill when they dropped so Im thinking the UIL dropped the ball there lol! Anyway you look at its hard for a small 3A team to compete against a large 3A team in football more so them any other division. Spring Hill for one shouldn't have to compete year after year with those teams. Is there an easy solution? No! But I'm sure there's something I understand that the state may not want to mess with 5A but restructuring makes sense.
  15. True but look at 16-3A which has 2 possibly 3 teams that could not only make the playoffs in another district but possibly win the district. But u have to feel a bit sorry for the losing team in this game. But when 4 teams make the playoffs it will just be watered down. He'll you will have teams that are 1-4 making the playoffs. They need to do 8 team districts to make it even realistic
  16. +1 I can understand the fact it's not an easy task aligning the districts etc. but really? It's not rocket science either. I'm wondering what goes into their thought process. I feel for Gladewater and Spring Hill having to be in with the district again. Which I could see as rivalries and everything but I don't believe that's part of the equation. And Bullard? Never knows which direction it's going. I'm guessing that they're just in a strange area for the UIL. My biggest problem isn't the teams it the structuring like mentioned earlier why not try to keep the districts evened up at 6 teams in each district. And 4 playoff teams? Not that a couple of teams from 16-3A don't deserve it but that's too many unless you even up the districts with like 8 teams. I believe we need another Class. I've always felt that there is too big of a Gap in 3A it's always been that way. I believe it's around 340 - 1020 right now. Too big of gap for a smaller 3A school to compete year after year.
  17. I'll be rooting hard for all three 16 3A teams Congratulations!
  18. Yeah I feel for the kids they played their heart out. I knew that Bullard would have to play their best to make the playoffs this year. Actually thought they had a shot. Just came up short. Now Kilgore, Henderson and Gilmer need to go and kick some tail in the playoffs :)
  19. Int TD bullard Gilmer 43 Bullard 39
  20. Bullard needs to quit turning the ball over along with giving up the big plays. 2 turnovers one for a TD and 2 70+ yard Td's they can't afford to do that to have a chance in the 2nd half
  21. 2nd Quarter Gilmer punt Bullard punt Gilmer Td 22-14 Bullard punt Gilmer Td 29-14 Bullard FG 29-17 Half
  22. 1st quarter Gilmer first play 75 yd Td Bullard int Td Gilmer 15-0 Bullard Td. 15-7 Gilmer punt Bullard int Gilmer punt Bullard Td 15-14 End of 1st
