  1. I've already done this for football and decided to do it for Boys and Girls Basketball. This shows only the team's record in a state championship game not their state tourney record. This is the girls list. Multiple posts as it is a long list.
  2. Some other DCTF rankings. It includes a few ET teams. You can find these from their channel on YT. Team of the Year 6A: Galena Park North Shore 5A: Pflugerville Weiss 4A: Carthage 3A: Pottsboro 2A: Hamlin 1A: Blackwell Top Offenses 10. Highland Park - 52.6 9. San Saba - 53.0 8. Red Oak - 53.3 7. Midland Lee - 53.6 6. Corpus Christi Miller - 54.1 5. McKinney North - 54.1 4. Shiner - 55.6 3. Panhandle - 55.7 2. San Augustine - 57.6 1. Humble Atasocita - 57.7 Top Defenses 10. Duncanville - 9.8 9. Lindsay - 9.7 8. Alto - 9.2 7. Austin Westlake - 9.0 6. Ralls - 8.5 5. Austin LBJ - 8.5 4. East Bernard - 8.5 3. Cy-Fair - 8.0 2. San Saba - 7.0 1. Diboll - 5.0
  3. It is explained in the video. Essentially, it gives you two years either before or after an exceptional class should you be fortunate enough to have one.
  4. This posted on YouTube today. A look into the six year program rankings. You have to be a DCTF insider to see the list but they mention the top 10 in the video. I remember Aledo #1, Refugion #3, Carthage #8, and WOS #10. For those curious, last was Quitman.
  5. In looking through the UIL archives while compiling the records of the teams that have made it to a state championship, Aledo is four points away from being 11-0. Both of their losses were by a single point.
  6. It's finished. And it is long so it will be done as multiple posts. According to my list, in the history of the UIL, 486 different schools have made it to a state championship game. Katy has the most appearances with 14. I calculated a winning % but it is slightly off as while ties count for the overall number of games they don't factor in as a win. I haven't figured out an easy way to count ties. If you click the image once it will display it and clicking again will open it in a new tab/window. Click that and it will enlarge it so it is easier to read.
  7. Matt, Any idea about these oddities I've found so far? There are two Baytown Carvers (PVIL) in 1955. One in PVIL 2A and the other in 3A. Same or different school? No scores for Arp Industrial vs. Lockhart Carver in 1952 PVIL 1A nor Livingston Dunbar vs. West Columbia Brown in 1953 PVIL 1A. UIL lose the game info or was it not reported? Or something else? And what happened to Class 1A in 1956? There is no listing for it.
  8. I'm up through 1952 and Temple is 0-4. I know they also lost to Aledo in 2014 or 2015 I think. So they've lost at least 5 games.
  9. I don't think Cisco has a good record in title appearances either. I actually just started working on this because Carthage and Aledo got me wondering about winning percentage in state championships. I'll try and finish this by the new year and let you know.
  10. I recorded this game as I wasn't able to watch on Saturday. While watching the recording, it showed the titles the other Bishop brothers' won. Including this year, the Bishop brothers have led Aledo to seven state championships. Does anyone know who were the other QBs to lead Aledo to titles as it seems there has been a Bishop at QB forever?
  11. Aledo might have 10 state championships if their kicker hadn't missed two extra points in their 20-19 loss to College Station in 2017. They would have won nine titles in 11 years had that happened. Simply amazing.
  12. That was the high point of the passing game - the 1st half. Here is how Guyer finished:
  13. Another Duncanville/ North Shore? What a stupid penalty by Shadow Creek.
  14. Ryan probably literally kicking themselves for the bad snap on the punt that led to a Shadow Creek TD.
