Just don't let it turn into a trap game. The State title game was last night in Longview JMO but I believe we were the two best teams remaining in each region.

CH y'all better not lay an egg in this one like last year CH went into the Alamodome thinking they were fixing to run those slow white boys out of the building. If CH brings the same intensity as they did for Kilgore then I believe they will be ok but sometimes teams just have bad matchups with teams and the better team will play down to their opponent. Just play CH football give Ricky the rock and he will put that offense on his shoulders

There has to be a winner and a loser I don't blame officials but man took a catch away from us that was a first down the offsides on the onside kick was bang bang the official should have not called an offsides on the play in the moment like that especially when the player they called offsides was on the opposite side of the kick and he never impacted the play. But Kilgore's offense has their opportunities but didn't take care of their business. So I tipped my hat to CH defense for confusing and putting our offense in LaLa Land all game they looked absolutely lost with the blocking schemes that was CH causing it more than it was Kilgore.

We can say in the long term he was playing to win the game. If your offense has the ball it definitely gives your team more a chance to win than punting and giving the opponent the ball and hoping your D can get you the football right back. I just always say play to win and don't play to not lose that's my opinion on a coach look at CH they had 3rd & 20, 4th &3 the coach knew Kilgore was struggling with stopping the run he still ran the play that benefited his team the best he handed it to his playmakers to get a first down. Kilgore offensive coordinator saw they were giving our wr 7 or 8 yards of cushion Ray Charles could see CH was giving Kilgore the short throws but they were determined to not give up the big play. Our coach has to know that.

Absolutely teams would love to play for a championship if CH didn't win a Championship while they had Brisbon and Stewart 4 straight years to get to round 5 every year would it be considered a bust with the talent they had? Just asking y'all's opinions on it being a bust or no with the talent CH had?

JMO I would hate losing the championship game more than the week before. Personal experience when Kilgore was getting their runners up medals the year they lost to Carthage nothing feels worse than getting congratulated for getting second place

I'm not the kind of person to call out my own teams flaws but it's wayyyyy..... overdue coach Fuller's hands are tied but it's time for new coordinators we have another great head coach who knows how and what it takes to be successful I'm not saying it would or wouldn't be I was just wondering what the ch peeps thought on it

Well Kilgore couldn't break the trend of losing to CH in the 4th round hopefully CH can break theirs of losing in the 5th round. JMO I think losing the championship game would hurt more than losing the week before

I think our coordinator is surviving off of the athleticism these last 7 to 8 years I'm not debating running or throwing the ball I'm talking about the actual plays that are called are the same plays I ran in HS. Kilgore had more success with the RPO with our QB than they had with our RB's running up the middle. Our QB struggled badly whenever he would run to his left and he would try to throw across his body. We only completed 1 pass out of 13 attempts our QB was sacked 4 times and 5 throws went in the turf 3 were badly air mailed over the wr head. Why would a coordinator continue to call you plays that had been more problems for the offense than it would benefit them. Our offense would have a higher rate with moving the ball when our QB would run instead of handing it off. JMO but I don't think our coordinator takes advantage of the things that gave them better chances. I'm not claiming I can do it better or yada yada. I'm just not use to how our coordinator gets information from his offense because the QB, RB, Wr all go do their own thing on the sidelines I do see the lineman talking to the coaches.

To be honest I believe Longview is dealing with the same thing with their offensive coordinator he is from Kilgore he is finding out you can't keep running the same 4 or 5 plays. A play caller in HS will look good with the right athletes in the right spot

I will say it our Offensive Coordinator is not a true coordinator he is skating by with the athletes making him look better than what he actually is. Coach Fuller's hands are tied with his coordinators he has with Coach Woods still the AD. If Coach Fuller can hang in with being just the football coach a little bit longer Woods should be moving out of the AD spot in probably 2 more years.

Yep number #12 should have been the starter he definitely can be our Ricky like CH has that young man is an absolute stud he runs the football at full speed and so aggressive every single carry. He also plays super smart every game I have seen of him he never gets caught up in all the mouthing and bonehead penalties I don't think I have ever seen him fumble. Hopefully we can groom our freshman RB to play like Ricky Stewart that's how good he is if I was a running back coach I would have my guys watch Ricky's game film. I hate we still have to play against him again next year. If CH doesn't win a Championship this year what's the question gonna be for next year. "If your not First" then your last will CH be remembered for having all that talent 4 years straight and never winning anything with it but some playoff games. Will it be a failure to the ch peeps?

Our Offensive coordinator was the Freshman coach when I came through Kilgore and how he became the coordinator on varsity I don't know I think he needs to put the play calling down or install a plan that's not from the late 90's early 2000's. The 26 and 27 Jack O's aren't the big time running plays anymore.

Agreed our Offensive coordinator is still running the same stuff when coach Vallery was here. We need a coordinator that will call plays to win the game. These punts they do sometimes they don't play to win the game they play to not lose. Last night had too much of the old very conservative coach Woods punting on 4th and inches.

Well the only positive for Kilgore after last night is they will return 8 starters on Defense only losing #2, #4, #15. The offense I think will only return 3 or 4 starters. We will have us another ball slinger at QB. So let's get primed for next year sooner or later Kilgore will get tired of losing to the same team one of these years. Kilgore and ch need to get out of the same district so they don't continue to send a good team home. One needs to go to Region 2 and the other needs to stay in Region 3 so they wouldn't have to play each other until the Championship.
