I think with this win that texas finally cracks the top 25. West Va is not that impressive but one its on the road, two aren't kansas, third a 6 game winning streak. texas should beat tech easily, Okie state is a toss up and Baylor is a blowout. If I were too bet we might see texas and A&M in the cotton bowl ( if A&M beats Mizzu that is). If not texas is cotton bowl bound either way.
Two disagreements with your statement. I see Texas losing to Okie Light and Baylor and they'll probably end up in the Alamo Bowl again as Okie Light will go to the Cotton Bowl.

I like Ol' Joe in this one. Gimme the Rams by 16, just because Gandy like the 2-pt. conversions.
-
Texas loses to Okie Light and Baylor. Tech in Austin usually equals bad things for the Raiders. I say the Horns finish at 8-4, 7-2 in the conference and headed to the Alamo Bowl.

I like the Liberty Bowl for UNT.

With the addition of the fourth playoff team....I'd really like to know exactly how many teams made the playoffs with a losing record. Some that I've found (just from region 2) are:
Whitewright (2-8)
Clarksville (4-6)
Diboll (1-9)
Center (2-8)
Pittsburgh (4-6)
Boyd (4-6)
Bowie (4-6)
Krum (3-7)
Aubrey (2-8)
Maddison (3-6) &
Roosevelt (2-8) in 3A District 11 with only 4 teams.
Bonham (4-6) & Anna (3-7) in 3A District 12 with 5 teams.
*Van (4-6) - exception. Finished District in 2nd place, (4-1) record.
I know 4A/5A have had 4 playoff teams but just thought that I'd throw these in here as well.
4A's
Samuell (4-6)
Marshall (3-7)
Lindale (3-7)
5A's
Rowlett (4-6)
Akins (3-7)
Round Rock Westwood (4-6)
After seeing this list, what's everyones thoughts on the addition of the fourth playoff team?
The depressing part is that Center is the TOP SEED in Division 2 with that 2-8 record.

To quote Fred Akers, "A win is a win is a win."
To quote Ric Flair, "To be the man, ya gotta beat the man. Wooooooooooooo!"

I really don't mind bad spelling. It's improper uses of words and bad tenses that bother me more than anything.
However, back on topic. Texas is looking UGLY early in this one.
Looking bad late too.

Gimme Joe Quin over one-ton Harley by 2 TDs.

There's no renewing something that never was.
aggy was never our rival. Oklahoma was.
HOOK'EM HORNS!
Really? You really believe that? The UT-a&m rivalry dates back for over a century. The agz were the biggest rival the Horns ever had. The blowklahoma rivalry can't even hold a candle to the agz rivalry.

Wonder if all the talking heads at ESPN still want to take Oregon's offense over Baylor's now? Hmmmm, whaddya say Mel Kiper, Jr. and Todd McShay? Still think Oregon is the shiz-nit?

Playing Alto is what makes it tough on Shelbyville. Their problem with points is that haven't scored enough of them, and they've given up too many. Other than that, points aren't a factor.
As long as Alto doesn't give the game away, which they have done a couple of times, unfortunately, the Jackets should prevail easily.

I guess I should amend that I'm originally from the CenTex, so that's why I made that comment.

I'm so confused. I thought this was a thread about New Braunfels and Medina Valley. Hmmmm.
-
I wonder how long WS will keep their starters in. With the district title on the line last week in Cushing, they started putting in JV kids in the 2nd quarter.
-
My understanding is a 17 point cap. With Alto having maxed it out vs SA, and SA doing the same on Shelbyville, the only chance the Dragons have is to beat Alto by 17 or more, then I believe it goes to a coin flip. I may be wrong, it's happened twice in my lifetime.
Thanks TrueBlue. I really just needed to know if it was positive points or cumulative points. Positive points makes it really really tough on Sville, if it wasn't tough already.

Anyways, enough about Tech being overrated. There is also a thread or Baylor/OU so I don't destroy this one.
I like the WVU over Texas pick a lot. If Texas wins, they'll find themselves in the top 25 after this week. However, night game in Morgantown. WVU feeling good after knocking off TCU. Things could get weird. Texas should win, but I like WVU's chance to have Texas fans calling for Mack's head again.
I could very easily see Texas blowing it in Morgantown. Of course, I figured that the Horns might lose to Kansas, too.

Love how apparently there's only one big game on Thursday night. No one outside the Big XII media give a rat's @$$ about OU-Baylor apparently.
-
If, by some chance, Sville pulls off the upset, what are the tiebreakers? Does this district go on positive points only? (I believe the cap is 17 points) Or do they go by cumulative points (points for a win, negative points for a loss)?

Go Big H!
-
Cardinals 26
Texans 17

A&M Vs Miss State could be the last time Johnny and Evans are at Kyle Field. Expect a big game.
Ou brings Baylor back to earth.
Tech rebounds after a great start.
Tcu is missing playing those Jv teams.
Texas should win this one easily and then be brought back to earth later on.
Bama should be beat Lsu but expect a great game.
Same for Oregon
I will take @ Winconsin over BYU
Miami isn't all that great but neither is Va Tech. Miami by 14+
That's a murderer's row to close out the season. Okie Light, Tech, and Baylor. I wouldn't be surprised if they lose all three.
-
Good luck to all this Friday night.
-
Dinner tonight at Troup + The Loop!

Until they're knocked off the pedestal, I gotta keep OU on top of the conference.

Both losses will hurt. I think the Horns can still win the Tech game, but the Okie Light and Baylor games are losses for sure.
