Just was wondering what happened to football coach. Heard he was told on friday before practice started that he did not need to show up. Not shocker at this place, but kinda crazy. Cross Roads just needs to drop football.

Are you kidding me with this comment. Jefferson is going to roll through district until the last game of the year vs. White Oak. Are you serious, have you seen Jefferson play? If I was Jefferson I would worry about Mineola and Sabine. They are going to have a hard time beating those two. I am going to put this out there, Mineola will win the district followed by White Oak, Sabine, and then Jefferson. Last time I got into it with a Jefferson fan was in 2007-2008 basketball season. Y'all were like 29-1 and ranked in the top 5 in state. Fans were talking all this smack about how they were going to win a state championship. We scheduled y'all for a warm up game and beat 29-1 team by 42 points. With that being said that is how much faith I am going to put in a Jefferson fan about how good y'all are. From what I see y'all got a lot of work to do. Mineola 61-0 over Pewitt and Jefferson 32-0 over Pewitt. From that score looks like Jefferson is not in Mineola's league.

Anyone have any insight on who may get this job. Have not heard anything!!!

I told y'all this place is crazy!!!!! The people around that place don't have a clue!!! All I can say is I told you so.

I totally agree with you. This place is different and I really don't know why. The kids are not going to respond. First, not much talent and second they are always In a district where they can not compete. Nick Saban could get hired and it's not going to happen. The kids do not care and for what ever reason I don't know why. The biggest problem is you can not hold them accountable because if you send a message like kicking someone off the team then you fight a battle of having enough to field a team. Lets say one of your best players misses practice and he has to run a little after practice. Other kids see that and they say he didn't have to do much so I am going to miss. Then when you have 6 or 7 miss what are you going to do kick them off the team. That is what I would do and we would not finish the season and then the town would want to bring in another ad!! That is what you are fighting at this place. Not enough kids playing to send a message. I think they should get red of football and then they could be successful. They have been good in baseball before but if you think these cats are going to ever be good in football you are crazy.

I am not bashing the school. I am bashing the way it is ran. You are a parent that thinks it ok to have more parents on the hiring committee than payed school faculty. Whoever takes the job will not succeed. The people on the school board there think its ok for there kids to miss practice for stupid stuff. Say what u want but Cross Roads will be a never ending story. Your screen name goes right along with the way the town is looked at.

Yea that could be going on for awhile because no one wants this job. Its a loss in pay for most people and the hiring committee is taking personal calls while the interviews are going on. Yes, that is from a great source. Also, I have heard the job is going to a guy that has already been a coach at Cross Roads before. Initials TobinFrost!!!!!!!!
