Ok. A) Isnt that how it works you win flips and try and give YOUR team the best possible chance you can? Which yes thats what Big Sandy has done but dont act like they dont deserve it and havent worked hard to be where they are win or lose this next game. And dont say they just happened to secure their 1 hit at the right time. Thats what baseball is- timely hitting.... And to note since you noted a Sophomore pitcher at Garrison- I will note also that the kid that did get the 1 hit was a Freshman. Big Sandy isnt just fortunate for a good pitcher. He has worked hard and grew up at Big Sandy as well as some of the other really good players on the team. He deserves all the glory he gets as well as the other boys on the team. Ryan is a great pitcher but the Big Sandy bats are better than they have looked the last few games also. Especially the top 5-6. B) I also would like to note that you talked about BS not showing defense- in case you weren't at the Lovelady game the final play was a fly out to mid left (I will note the ball was foul and didnt even have to be caught to risk a tie up run- but we have confidence in our players ability to catch and throw quickly) and then on the tag the player was gunned down at home. C) Finally, I would like to say that also at the Lovelady game the catcher was put into pitch in the final innings- and again I will note although he is the number 2 pitcher he has pitched only a handful of times this whole season. He is the one who helped secure the win- as well as the defensive plays. Agreed, that the BS teams bats have been in somewhat of a slump but against Lovelady they had 8 hits and left runners stranded leading to the low score. And I agree if they dont pick up the bats then they may just lose out soon, but I wouldnt underestimate their success and downplay why they have gotten to where they are.

Just curious to when a high 80 to low 90 fastball isn't fast?

It will definitely be interesting to see. I do plan on being there. The biggest issue I see if their main strength is at the plate- and you do have to score runs to win is if Big Sandy's Ace Hendrix is on, I see it tough for them to slam him. He shut down Buna (2A) with ease.. Definitely be a game to go see. I think if BS can produce timely hits and score a few runs then they should have it in the bag.- And I will say for BS- not sure exactly how many starters they lost (I know it wasnt many) but they gained at least 1 good freshman I know of. Excited for this one.

What do yall think on the Big Sandy vs Garrison game- Saturday 7pm @ Huntington? Big Sandy got a super solid pitcher/catcher combo.(Hendrix/Barnard- I do believe) Also got some good hitters. 1-5 solid with 6-9 normally doing well. Havent heard anything on Garrison. Saw on another thread most people pulling for Big Sandy but just wanted some thoughts.
