We have the D line and linebackers to stop their running game. Silsbee did not have a defense. Belleville defense is legit and 99 will be a problem. He is a man among boys well over 6ft and 294 pounds. If we make it and they make it to Jerry’s House. Surratt and Preston will have the Dawgs ready.

I ate at Butcher Shop in Longview, Texas. Saw people from PG and told them what great game. 1st words out of their mouth was yes except for all the bad calls and no calls against us. I immediately said oh you mean where your coach told your players to call out the snap count or the holding that never got called against PG. Bunch of cry babies. The referee let them play, could of called a lot penalties on both teams

Coach Surratt and Carthage is one of the most respected programs in the state of Texas. With 9 state championships, you don’t think the program has been checked by everybody under the sun. jealousy at its finest is what it sounds like to me.

No all D line last year were sophomores.

PG has two starters out Center and linebacker

Until I see PG in person, Kilgore had the best defense the Dawgs have faced.

The PG QB will be making a lot of tackles and getting lit up when he runs the ball. The Dawgs will definitely be the most physical team that PG has faced all year. If the Dawgs don’t turn the ball over or have stupid 15 yard penalties they will win this game.

I am not so sure, you get pounded on by the Dawg front seven and turn right around and get pounded on by the Dawg O line. By the end of the 3Rd quarter it will show.

I am a homer Dawg fan but I am a student of the game. Center making his first start going against the best D line in 4A football is a lot to ask of a player. Those two 190 pound tackles have never faced 54, 72, and 70 unless they started last year is going to be a very tuff assignment. The Dawg linebackers have been tackling machines that are bigger than the two tackles of PG. The Dawg O line is as good as it gets in 4A and will move the ball on PG. I believe the Dawgs can and will beat PG. I do understand that PG can beat the Dawgs if they don’t play a good game with no turnovers and penalties.

You guys did not do your home work on Carthage or PG The only offensive player out for Carthage Is Matlock at running back. PG lost their starting center and linebacker. They are playing six players both ways including the QB.

Not even close between those two teams. The Dline and linebackers, the O line and running backs and wide receivers on this team are way ahead of 2011.

This team is three times more talented than 2011.

No way IC defense D line and secondary better than Kilgore. I will have see that to believe it.

Good thing the Dawgs have a 220 pound sophomore running back that is outstanding to back up KJ Edwards. I hate we lost Matlock because he is special.

I watched Aubrey versus Van Alstyne trying to see what kind of team Van Alstyne had. Gilmers speed will be too much for Aubrey unless Gilmer has turnovers. Aubrey tackles well and are well coached.

I will add the other 220 pound back that has not been stopped when in the game. Also a sophomore that ran for 1500 hundred yards last year as a freshman.

The Dawgs ran 8 running backs against LE. KJ Edwards just got an offer from Georgia to go with a long list of offers. Only a sophomore. Running game is just fine behind a very powerful O line.

If the player did that you can bet Coach Surratt had him running on the following Monday.
