Wow what a game. Coach S has to be the best game planner in the state. we saw so many different formation today and the Dawgs performance was amazing. The O line dominated and Courtney ran with a purpose. Dixon the best player in 4A. I said it all year, the Dawg D is the best in 4A. Congrats Dawgs on number 7 God Bless, Coaches, Players, and fans. safe trip home.

Someone needs to go check on Lion and make sure he is still breathing. hey Lion, How do you like the best O line and defense in all of 4A.

Champ 1000 has convinced me he is THE Lion. Lampasas was the best passing offense I have seen all year in person or on video and their defense was pretty good. Their QB reminded me of Morgan in 2010, deadly with the pass. Lampasas was the third best team in 4A and could play with the Dawgs or Le Vega. Just my opinion.

The game last night reminded of the Brownwood game in 2010. I was on the edge of my seat the entire game. The Dawgs made big plays when they needed them. Dixon on that 95 yard touchdown catch and run was nothing short of amazing. He juked the D B out of his shoes and from a dead start ran away from the safety. Haskins 40 yard run, BoBo’s 60 yard pick six, and the other pick six, and many more. The Dawg QB had a tuff time for three quarters but won the game like a field general in the fourth quarter. The Dawg D did a good job against the best passing offensive machine I have seen in a long time. Lampasas was every bit as good as their people said they were. Their QB, receivers, O line, and defense could play with and beat anyone in 4A. The Dawgs reached down deep into their never quit gut and won the game. it was a game to remember for many years to come. The crowds for both teams were loud and proud. TEXAS high school football at its best. God Bless

Lampasas was the real deal, very good offense and the dense played a lot better than I thought they could against the Dawgs. You do know it is already 13 to 0 PG in the first quarter.

You might want to look at some videos on the Dawg D. I hope your QB can throw on the run because he will be doing a lot of it.

If any team left in 4A DII wants to beat Pleasant Grove they better have an O line that can push the PG D line off the line of scrimmage and they better have a plan for LB number 6. I don’t see either one happening. PG will have to turn the ball over giving their opponent a short field. PG offense will grind and grind with hard running backs and when you least expect it, the QB will hit on a pass for a TD. I do not believe anyone Left can or will beat PG.

You might want to look at the size of Carthage on both sides of the ball. I guarantee LV O line is not better than the Dawgs. As good, yea better or bigger absolutely not. I will add that the Dawg D is better.

I don’t disagree with your analysis but you are forgetting one major factor. If Carthage makes it, their defense is now back to full strength. They can make stops against LV and cause turnovers. The Dawg D is every bit as good as Le Vega’s Defense was last year.

Coach Surratt and staff do not loose in state championship games. if the Dawgs make it to the championship. I will take the Dawgs no matter who the opponent would be.

The Dawgs can match Le Vega man for man in speed and athletes.

Argyle had the offense but the defense is what wins championships. Le Vega has both. If the Dawgs and Le Vega make it Jerry’s house, whew whee what a ball game that would be. I really hope the Dawgs get to face Liberty Hill again. Everybody in Carthage remembers the Liberty Hill running back on that video talking smack after the game last year. I can almost guarantee someone will pull that video and play it so many times that The Dawg D will be ferocious and relentless. I understand that Lampasas has an offense similar to Argyle, wonder if they have faced a defense as good as the Dawgs. Great game Le Vega and great season Argyle. Let’s Go Dawgs!!!!!!!
