  1. It has been so long since I've logged in, that I was not sure of my username / password. Guess I got it right, I'm signed in. I have not been to Tatum in years, anything change? Tatum gonna make a run this Year? What little I know comes from Matthew on Friday nights. I do appreciate that too, Matthew. Hope you will be broadcasting this year, same time, same stream. If anyone wants to give out some enlightenment that would be nice. Don't need any hoop la ... I've heard enough of that through the years. Surely the kids have grown up by now, LOL. I thank you guys who may have prayed for James. It looks like he's going to make it. He went back to work, I thought to soon, but he said he needed the income. It's a miracle he's still alive. But we have a miraculous God, and don't forget it. I'm like all of you looking forward to another great year and hoping no one gets seriously hurt. Be sure to support the kids, they all work hard and a little pat on the back can go a long ways. Be safe ... many a mile is put in on Friday nights. Go Big Green !!! May God Bless.
  2. Back in the day (The 60's). Tatum school colors were Green & White. Our coach did not like Green & White, so he bought Orange and White uniforms. From the 7th Grade thru my junior year we wore Orange & White. My senior year after he left, Tatum went back to the traditional Green. Personally, I liked the Orange & White better, but a lot of people were upset with the change. It did seem weird though with us playing in Orange & White uniforms and the band marching in Green & White. If I remember correctly the cheerleaders wore Orange & White as well. But, in the end it didn't really matter, heck play ball.
  3. This is what the scoreboard looked like last year for 6 4A DII
  4. A belated Happy Birthday ... Thanks Smoaky !
  5. Thanks Big Orange. I hope Celina does well in the play-offs.
  6. History might favor Gilmer, but this Gladewater team is really good ...
  7. I've never seen Celina play, but I try to keep an eye on them, since they have a very good program. How close am I on the starting eleven offensive players ? TE Nebeker 6-4 200 RT Hubbard 6-0 230 RG Vaughn 6-3 260 OC Becerra 6-0 275 LG Melton 6-3 275 LT Wimmer 6-2 275 WR Marler 6-2 180 WR Conder 6-0 195 WR Reeder 5-10 175 QB Elliott 6-2 205 RB Alexander 5-9 185
  8. Should Be A Good Game ... I Am Going With Tatum In This One ... Go Eagles !
  9. It would not surprise me if Hardin Jefferson beats West Orange Stark
  10. Playing for the title: What do you think ? DISTRICT 7 Fairfield vs. Mexia DISTRICT 9 West Orange Stark vs. Hardin-Jefferson DISTRICT 13 Geronimo Navarro vs. Wimberley
  11. I would imagine that this means nothing to East Texas fans; but, if you like football and can appreciate a good ole backyard brawl, then this district race would interest you. Most likely the winner will not have an impact on the State Championship but I find it very interesting to watch.
  12. How healthy are the Eagles going into the Gladewater game ?
  13. The scoreboard does not always give you a an accurate picture of how good or bad a team really is, but sometimes it is about all the info you can get on a team. Just saying ... West Orange Stark 29 Little Cypress Mauriceville 12 Hardin Jefferson 27 Little Cypress Mauriceville 07 Beaumont Kelly Head Coach Al Rabb said in an interview with the Beaumont Enterprise that, "Hardin Jefferson is a very good football team - better than good." The Hawks rushed for 400 + yards against his team.
  14. District 6 is well represented ... Gladewater, Tatum, Atlanta ... And may very well be the strongest district over all in 4AD2
  15. Seems to me if my beloved Tatum Eagles had the #1 defense in the state last year, they would have went farther than the area round. They say defense wins championships. Just saying ...
  16. Center ... Don't under estimate Center. That 3-9-0 record came against some tuff opponents. They are the largest school enrollment wise in Class 4AD2 District 6. Best of luck to both schools and I look forward to a great game.
  17. Must have read the ETSN article ... gonna prove it
  18. Your are so right Bro. Thank you for correcting me. When I looked it up and double check myself, I see what I missed. I recorded the Palestine score (Which was the week before) rather than the Gladewater score. Your a good man, keep me straight.
  19. Back in the days when I played (The Orange & White Days) We were lucky to field 22 players. I'm surprised that Tatum was able to field a team as many years as they have.
