I knew nothing about him. I did my own research on him tho. His record at Ennid was a little misleading, but he honestly didn't have the talent he has in Tyler now. But he did lead Ennid to their first playoff appearance last year in quite some time.

I've seen you say a few times that you knew Woods was a good hire. Did you already know who he was? The man definitely knows football. Going from 2-8 to above .500 in one season says alot and this district is no slouch. A lot of people have criticized him about his Oklahoma based offense. Said it didn't have enough tempo, wasn't designed to score a ton of points etc. Yes the offense has plenty of kinks, some have been fixed. I'm not sure how much more you can ask of him in the first year. I say lookout next year.

Coach Woods has definitely laid the foundation for ‘24 & ‘25. We have a lot of young talent coming back!

First blow out loss of the year, we knew what we were facing tho. I haven’t seen Longview come out that flat in a first qtr all year. I give our defense credit for keeping us in the game as long as they could. Longview is just way more physical than us. At times we moved the ball on Longview with ease so it’s definitely an improvement over last year . The score just didn’t reflect it

I was very pleased with our effort up until the last 6 minutes of the 2nd quarter. Longview looked out of character but our defense played a huge part in that. Tutt does not have very much accuracy and I wish we could’ve took advantage of the Willie Nelson muffed punt. We’ve had some good opportunities. Give the Lobo D a ton of credit. They made adjustments and came after Granberry. JT is a second half team but dang, we can’t stop Tatum. Dude is running possessed I have no idea what McFall was doing on that kick return

Yea it’s unfortunate. There’s a back story to it that I won’t repeat online, but it’s more to it than him just up and quitting. This was building up for weeks. We could use his speed bc our 2 main RB’s don’t have speed to attack the edge. Collins is a track kid so that’s what he’ll be doing full time now unless he comes back nest year. Jabralyn Williams who is the starting SS and also last years QB is the backup now. He got some reps against West last week.

Not happening! Best defense in the district and we have trouble scoring on teams early. Just compete and keep it respectable if possible.

Lufkin has the worse play calling I’ve seen all year. I mean it was pathetic! I feel like I was cheated of seeing how good Kedren Young really is and I’m kinda glad lol. QB had no real accuracy and the offense is very one dimensional. I thought LP had a few WR’s?? I see why ppl having been calling for Quick’s job and I’d have to agree after what I just saw. As for JT, I’ve said it all year. Our offense being non-existent in first half’s is our down fall. We are a great second half team but our slow starts have hurt us at times. With that being said, Lufkin could’ve easily won that game. Coach Woods is great at making halftime adjustments tho. JT still needs Lancaster to lose a game I can’t see them lose either of their next 2 games . Lufkin is not beating Lancaster if they play like they did tonight. I’ll be the first to admit Longview is at least 3 TD’s better than us. Longview mashes the gas the whole game. All we can hope for is keeping it respectable.

So Tatum really does have a fumble problem. The face mask saved Longview.
