I dont know what to expect from Hooks. They only lost 5 seniors and only 2 were significant. They return alot, but can they take the next step. I believe they are good enough to compete with HS and PP for the top 2 spots, but you never know. I expect them to beat DeKalb, LK, and Queen City... But that didnt happen last year
Hooks may surprise some people, not to be underestimated. that's what causes tweams a loss. I'm a bull fan. seen Hooks and Pewitt play several games.over the years, need to take hornets serious, as well as all of the district. this district has old rivalries. any one can take top spot. we'll see in the fall

I guess until we get the new district alignments in Feb. it's gonna be pretty slow......lol. Dekalb and Paul Pewitt posters, just wanted to say have enjoyed you guys and good luck, I'm pretty sure we won't be in the same district again next year.
enjoyed it. been a thrill playing the jackets. good luck and injury free next season

I think also if we do play PP and HS that would be good for all teams, games should be very competitive.
regardless of who beat who when, i do agree that the Waskom -Hughes Springs Waskom-Paul Pewitt rivalries need to keep going.

Tatum has Newton, Chapel Hill, and Pleasant Grove considering Tatum and Pleasant Grove don't end up in the same District. Daingerfield, Gilmer and Henderson turned us down.
I work at atlas roofing in D'field. they said must be some mistake, said they would play tatum anytime.

You'd think HS or PP wouldn't want any of Waskom unless they just had to
doesn't matter who either team play. just another pre- district game. If i recall correct waskom and pewitt played a couple times further back, and i recall waskom as saying they would put up so many points on pewitt. i was at that game turned out that pewitt almost set a school record on scoring.coach had field goal kicker purposefully kick field goal rto left to keep from scoring 72 points on waskom. think it was 05. might be wrong on year but i know pp put up 69

He needs to bow out and sell the team to some one that knows and cares about football and not just the bottom line.
