Beckville all the way! Hemphill's two wins are against teams that are both pretty low this year. And they both beat WS who is WAAAAY down on talent this year... Beckville handled them much easier as a heads up comparison.

When you have little to no chance of winning anything in district, a soft AD will usually try and cover his/her ego by scheduling softer teams under the excuse of not being the one who scheduled the games of a previous regime. Teach the kids it's OK to not take any chances and only take sure things. Of course the only sure thing in places like Colmesneil is a forfeit by the opponent, but even that may go in to overtime!

Doubtful, but you never know......

Some say WS had three weeks off, I mean Cushing, Grapeland, then a Bye............ Start the season and end district playing very low teams.... Just an observation

03 in 2003 they were the #2 ranked 2A team in the state. Of course they did nothing with it. Did some research, and they were beat by West Sabine that year as well. just saying....

The young SA defense will never stop Mart. Not sure SA will put up many points either. Their offense is mediocre at best. Good playoff experience, but the road ends for SA.

Tenaha. Carthage and I think West Sabine has a shot. Though a tough road after the second round.

I watched WS a lot this year and their qb #4, Williams, is still young, and better than Lacy. He is faster, a better passer and WS is still a fairly young team. #7 comes in to mop up, he is pretty good and a freshman. FYI Oh back to the thread, Rams by @ 2 TD

Didn't look like WS CB's were any taller than 5'7" or 5'8." Of course they were faster than the SA receivers, I guess that helps. Don't think the jacket corners are as fast or physical.

Having seen both teams play WS. I'm going with Alto. Dont think SA can bottle up Whitaker like WS did. He was a nonfactor I'm that game. WS freshmen drove the field with ease against SA in the 4th qtr. Alto's biggest problem will be pass coverage. They stink in that regard. SA has big receivers.

My Rams should roll in this one, though I don't think it will be as easy a win as before.

What happened to that "defense" SA is supposed to have? S'ville offense is not very good..... Better play better than that next week.......

Whitaker was a non factor in the game except on defense. Alto had less than 40 yards offense in 2nd half according to reporter covering game. Tiger defense is very good. The game supposedly wasn't as close as the score. WS killed themselves with penalties. They punted only two times and converted all 4th downs they went for to my knowledge. I'm honestly shocked!!!
