We will be having the first annual "Hope for the Holidays" Softball tournament. To be held at the Henderson Sports Complex December 8th and 9th. There will be a $200 team fee, Double elimination, co-ed, 7-3 format. 2 Home runs per game and $5.00 per Home Run after. All proceeds will be going to families in need/local Charities during the holiday season. I was wondering how a person may go about being a ref for junior high/high school football games?

I went to the Cowboys- Chargers game. And, I was out in 10-15 mins. Which isnt bad. The traffic wouldnt be a problem in my opinion. I went and saw Longview and Lake Travis state game. Well, it took a looooooooooong time to get out of that traffic.

What about Crayton? and, the young Kevin Olgetree? I'm looking for the Boys' to ship either Crayton or R. Williams. I just dont see enough room for them especially with the young talented WRs Dallas has.

I'm not taking anything away from Brook Hill beating Overton. But, you've got to remember Brook Hill can recruit players. I remember a few years back when Brook Hill had the QB from Tenaha when they scrimmaged Overton. Then when Overton went to play Tenaha in district, he was back with Tenaha. So, from UIL and TAAPS its different. You cant under estimate them because they do have great athletes. Its pretty much college in high school when it comes to sports.

Masoli-- Will most likely get some sort of probation for robbery. Kiko Alonso-- Will be suspended the entire 2010 season, after he was arrested for DUI In another incident, three Oregon players were involved in a Jan. 24 brawl. Just in my opinion. If Alonso is really suspended for the entire season. I think James should be as well. I know hes from East Texas. But, how can you suspend one player, and let the other walk away. Especially, after he beat his GF. ?? Go DUCKS!! LOl.. O Yea, Lets not forget the who Lagarret Blunt situation.

I think its a great hire for Overton. I do know this, that when Buddy Timme finally left Overton. Alot of people wanted Bo to get the job. It eventually when to Jodie Stringer. I'm pretty happy with this hire. Hopefully, he will come in and get the program back up to par.

Lowry is a good coach. Now, I think Overton needs to bring back Jodie Stringer (lol) I honestly believe hadnt he not left in 2005, they would have done better. No dis-respect to Dubose (one hell of a coach hisself) But, with him as Def. Coordinator, and Stringer running the offense. All, I can say is WOW! But, Overton needs a coach, thats willing to build a program, and not leave after a few losing season. I remember when Robinson first came to Overton, and the town was all pumped up, especially after two-a-days. But, I knew it was too! much hype. Robinsons, dad did more coaching at Overton games than he did. And, the other coaches were just on the staff. When, he got hired I didnt think it was a good fit, and now I'm looking smart (lol) Overton, has ALOT! of talent coming up. Boy, if they can get the right coach, and put the players in the right position they will be very scary. I would even say better than the 2005 team. And, I was on that team. Good Luck to my Stangs' and I hope that find a coach who is ready to win, and build a program the right way.

After, alot of debate from some of my friends. I've decided to see what Smoaky. Com thinks. I honestly believe had this game been played. It would have been the greatest game, ever to have been played in Texas. If you look at the number of players from both teams that are playing in college right now. I will try to name a few, but WOW! it would have been a game.
