I keep seeing you guys say Gilmer teams of Old wouldn't let this happen Traylor wouldn't let this happen. Guys sometimes no matter how hard a worker these young men are they are not the same horses that they had in the past. That 2014 defense is an all timer. That can not be the bench mark. A lot of D1 and dare I say NFL talent on that team. Are there any D1 talents on this year's defense there's 1 for sure. But man he plays both ways too. Get real what this staff has done for the last 17 years is unreal a 10-3 season had to happen sooner or later. So When they get back to the 'Ship AI want all you cowards who are calling for someone else's job to eat crow. And btw being these kids friends along with being their coach is why this staff is so great and why kids want to be Buckeyes. They are apart of something that's bigger than themselves. Kurt Traylor is at Lee instituting this very thing and it's working. So take your negativity some place else.

I wasn't happy about last last year but I can tell you Gilmer has great coaches and this year I know people are upset but man I will be honest Gilmer was not as talented or as Deep on defense and my God most of these kids play both ways you can't ask them to do that 100% of the time and expect to win. The 2s have to earn that G on the side of their helmet too. You can't play 60+ plus snaps on Defense when you play the majority of the offensive snaps. Some of you need a real clue.

So much Grief about this defense but 5 Dbs who signed 2 D1 1 D2 and 2 D3. Two DL 1 D1 and 1 D2 as well as 20plus all district and 10 all East Tx in just the last 2 years ... Buckeyes are thin on depth and ... talent and yet these coaches have a 6-2 record against 2 undefeated teams. As a wise man once told me 'Enjoy the journey'

So happy for all the young men and women signing today! Next chapter of there lives getting ready to start. I can't help but feel bad for some names I feel shouldn't be missing from these lists especially sense the names that are missing had early offers and are doing what it takes in the classroom. If this is cool anyone know what happens with the Running backs at Harleton and at Nacogdoches both these kids were great ball players and I hope they get their chance to further their athletic career and their academic careers. Feel free to throw in some other young ppl who may be signing in the coming days as this is just the first day for some who are not aware, it's not over after today lol.

I'm glad someone noticed this . Everyone has an opinion but come on Coach Turner may know a thing or two about coaching spreading them out was the best thing to do. Bux were missing them or not catching them at first ,to be expected on a drizzly crisp night. And as for tackling if you go high and rally you can hold on if you dive and miss at this level of competition they will take it to the house.

Is the Big10 really any better Michigan and Ohio State are the class but Wisconsin Michigan State Nebraska are second tier I mean it's all subject to opinion . EVERY POWER FIVE conference has a team or two who could have a run Either Ohio St. , Michigan, Penn State , Washington , Colorado, USC, Alabama(Only sec team worthy this year) Clemson, (Only Acc worthy) I don't like the idea of 8 teams but 6 with the top 2 getting a bye and leaving an at large for a non power five

Lol I never thought it was a sign of respect I thought coaches where trying to sneak an extra break in for their guys they run the water out and discuss things during a free time out when it's not "your guy" who got hurt but sometimes when it is. Hope I don't look crazy but teams I played for always used that injury time out to get a quick rest and regroup

Dang kicking game seemed to play a big part Congrats to SA hate to see the Cats take this L they had a team that looked to really make some noise. Hats of to those young men I hate seeing people talk down on defense in these games most of these kids play both ways and when. You play good competition the push usually goes to the offense

Couldn't be more Right in my opinion.It's crazy what a little success does right? LOL but seriously some years you just have flaws and yet they have overcome those flaws to the tune of 10-1 record. I give them credit for perseverance. Most of those warts we have comes from places of youth and I know we are 11 games in going to 12 but getting everyone's best shot every week bc you happen to have the G on the side of your helmet is a Heck of a learning curve. But if they can continue to get better and persevere a ring will distract from a couple of warts

Geronimo Navarro also a team to watch to match up with WOS coming out of the other side. but I just want the BUCKEYES to handle their business

I already made my peace with the people I offended and what I did was pick up a phone and called my friends who coach at the collegiate level at that time and made them aware of a talented kid who was getting 0 looks and they ended up at that school. So to make it public. I have my opinion it rubbed the young men of BS the wrong way which I never intended and I hate I did that to them. I hope they take it all the way to Jerrys World. But personal opinion is my own on certain ppl and I won't mention it again. Those young mean are having a special year. I'm going to keep the focus on that.

We are all rooting for our squads 1st but I would love the state championships 6A-6-Man to all reside in our little corner of the state proving ultimate supremacy and something we already know the best plays come from the Piney Woods of East Texas!

I care about the dozen or so kids that have gotten jobbed. I also care about the fact that he has had the talent on the that team to send kids to school to play football and further their educations and hasn't . I have helped more kids go play at the next level than that program has as a whole since 2010. Talk what you know .
