I started watching with around five minutes left in the game. They handled the pressure well, made smart passes, took care of the ball, and all while burning time off the clock. They didn't settle for silly shots when I was watching. The team I saw in the fourth played disciplined basketball IMO. I'm not sure if there was a better way to go about it than how Tatum handled it.

Just flipped the Tatum/Bushland game on in the fourth quarter. I haven't seen them play this year, and I have to say, I'm impressed. From what I've seen, they've been very patient and have played smart basketball. I'm impressed with their discipline as well. Pulling for Tatum to bring a championship back to East Texas!

Dallas Madison is a well oiled machine. Super athletic group of guys. Only through with the first quarter and I'm already impressed. I'm especially impressed with their 6'7" post. He hustles and works hard on the boards.

Grand Saline will compete for a playoff spot as usual. Luce always gets the boys ready.

With the boys side of playoffs starting tonight, let's see if any fourth place teams upset some first place teams. Post them here if you hear of any. Also, let's discuss which teams could possibly pull off the upsets.

Grand Saline won district a few years ago in this district. Look at them now. Edgewood will forever run this district no matter if a random school wins a DC here and there

Okay... I just want some details. Lone Oak 56, Grand Saline 9? Could someone provide some insight? Lone Oak's defense could have been good, but come on. Is Grand Saline just struggling? They've at least been competitive the last few years. Does anyone have the district standings from top to bottom?

Though Grand Saline dropped down, it still will be a battle to make the playoffs. Not impossible though, as four of the six teams go.

Sounds like he needs a wake-up call. Driving while intoxicated is no joke. Someone could have seriously been hurt. Let him stay and it might just happen again. I have no pity for irresponsible drinkers.

Coach Phelps was the classiest coach GS has had. He deserves to be coaching in Edgewood next to Jameson. He not only was a good coach on the court, he also turned boys into men. Big believer in the big picture. Just a good man in my opinion.

We're getting what we asked for. Cleared house on a brother-in-law hire, and now it's like starting from scratch. Back to little emphasis on basketball. Luce is still there, luckily, and will produce a solid baseball squad as he does every year. Tennis should do alright too. Edgewood will still probably beat GS in both, however.

I can agree that it wouldn't hurt the athletic side.

Man. Girls sports are just not fun to watch. Why watch the lesser of the two? (If you have a girl, it's more understandable)
