  1. Looks like Gilmer hit Tatum where it really hurt and counted. On the scoreboard.
  2. Comparing Eagleborn to Lion70 is like comparing an alligator to a lizard. Lion70 is fun to mess with, but you better have some good stuff to keep up with Eagleborn. He's a Pro, at least in his own mind. ;)
  3. Anyone have the penalty stats for this game? I am commited to watching Spring Hill the next 2 years  , but caught about 5 minutes of the Gilmer/PT game replay on TV this morning and saw about 50 yards of penalties racked up by the Bucks in that short time. Way too many errors and penalties, even for it being early in the season. Shot themselves in the foot constantly and couldn't execute simple plays. They better get it together or it could be a short season.
  4. BTW, I only use IE when I have absolutely no other choice.
  5. I cannot get it to play either. Just a spinning wagon wheel.
  6. Your QB was dangerous last year and even more so this year. Great combination of size, strength and speed. Glad we won't face him later in the year when he is unleashed, that will be really bad news for many defenses the rest of the year.
  7. Gilmer's passing game needs a LOT of work. Gilmer's special teams play needs a LOT of work. Gilmer's running game needs, well, it just needs the football, because it looks to be the real deal. LE's whole team (other than kicker) is also the real deal. They are gonna be very tough to knock off later in the year. Their team is the scary type that you can just see will never be out of a game with their big game playmaking abilities.
  8. Although Gilmer has the notable home field record of the last 15 years, LE should be the favorite tonight. They were very talented last year and have most of their talent back with an extra year of experience. After taking Argyle to the brink of elimination last year, I expect LE to be both confident and polished. First game jitters will be there for both teams, but I don't expect a repeat of last year, where LE self-destructed on more plays than not. If the Buckeye defense can keep the Leopards from scoring on each of their possessions or at least force them into long drives, I would view this game as a toss-up. The Bucks offense will need to hit the ground "running" and not look back. If our offense sputters or is shutdown by LE, it could be a long night. I love high school football and win or loose, this is gonna be a good game to witness, regardless of who you are rooting for.
  9. This could be said of Gilmer EVERY year. The offensive line always seems to be the weak link at the start of the season, but by season's end, they are scary good. Never the biggest, but usually the most improved offensive line you will witness from first game to the last.
  10. I watched The Grove play 3 times last year and they were the real deal. Will be interesting to see if they have enough coming back to continue making believers out of folks.
  11. When we update the signage, it would be nice to see exclamation points added for the state titles. Jeff Traylor Stadium !!!
  12. Well, WOS sure won the first half of last year's SC game. Maybe they can keep it together and win the second half this year.
  13. Don't forget about the Buckeye swim team. :)
  14. Matt Camp field is down at the bottom of the hill from where the old baseball field used to be at the top of the hill. I think there is a creek or at least a drainage ditch that is close by.
  15. Daingerfield and Mineola shamed 'em into doing this.
  16. Someone may have said he was on second. I'm still tryin to figure out who's on third.
  17. Will all the cell phone cameras, even 2 years ago, you would have thought the rest of us could have been shown pictures by now. You know, "you can't believe nothing you hear, and only half of what you see".
  18. I thought he said it was a Suburban. This right here is how rumors get started.
