That forecast does not look near as bad as last year in Corsicana when Carthage knocked Navasota out. That was some wet, cold, windy, miserable weather, but this forecast is very tame in comparison. I don't think it will faze 'Sota. CH needs all the help they can get though.

People been saying that about UG the whole season. The Grove is a complete team. They don't have any superstars that will wow you, but they play solid fundamental football in all aspects of the game (except kicking extra points).

A win like last night will make all those injuries heal a lot faster. Most of the Lobos probably are feeling no pain at all today. Go Lobos !!!

Colder? Think back to Waco '83. Gilmer and Longview have both been 2 time losers in SC games in Waco. There is some kind of bad juju there against East Texas teams.

Pittsburg is now DI, so that could have kept your proposed district from happening.

It was designed to give us a longer field and hopefully require our offense run more than 1 play in order to score. Communities defense was lacking, but their offense was actually not bad. #32 for the Braves was very good, just wore him out.

Jamel got hurt last year and was not able to contribute in the loss to Kilgore. He has also gotten a few snaps on defense this year. Overall, I think the coaches are being very guarded and careful to keep him in reserve for the playoffs.

Maybe we should start a new thread ... If you combined Gilmer and Gladewater together, would they be able to topple the mighty Lobos?

You're gonna have to butter both sides of the bread for some of the younger folks here. Many have no memory of the Gladewater teams of years gone by that regularly beat Gilmer and made us like it. I got a bad taste in my mouth just thinkin bout those lean years in Buckeye land.
