  1. In that case, what's the score at halftime ???
  2. I'm glad this thread is active this week, since the Pine Tree folks are giving us the silent treatment. Hard to tell, but PT must have a gigantic can of WA waiting to unleash on us tomorrow night. Too bad Tatum's WA can is rusty, all bent out of shape and empty.
  3. The meaning of "earn it" in Buxpeak is, "If our starting QB does not throw for 5 TDs and rush for 100 yards per game, then the gate is swung wide open for our backup QBs to git-er-done".
  4. So, you are sayin Newton had a small running back AND a large running back? That's scary !!!
  5. Their bus driver goes the extra mile.
  6. I don't know who this kid NOBODY is, but I sure hope JT benches him for the rest of the year.
  7. Just got my Gilmer Mirror in the mail today and on the front page is a list of the notable players of the week from week 1 for Gilmer. What got me laughing and crying is who they listed for "Special Teams Player Of The Week" - NOBODY Our special teams need a LOT of work.
  8. I'm sure Tate, Jackson and Lynch will have you rethinking this statement.
  9. I wan't expecting the beatdown that Trinity put on them last week, but one of my favorite teams now appear destined to take another epic beating at the hands of CC. I'm hoping for the best, but now expecting the worst. Go Injuns. :(
  10. Gilmer is not only talented as usual, but for the first time ever, they will be as fast or even faster at the skill positions than Tatum. Special teams could be a big factor in this game and Gilmer needs to work on their kicking game for sure right now. Allowing long runbacks on every kickoff, snapping the ball over the punter's head and into the endzone, blocked field goal, not gonna get away with that kind of sloppy play against a very good Tatum team. Look for Tatum to try to disrupt Gilmer's offensive rhythm, forcing the Bux to pound the ball. I also expect Tatum to try playing keep-away as they did the last time they frustrated the Bux at our house, in handing us a loss. Could be a low scoring game if these scenarios play out. Then again, us fans may show up to see a football game and be treated to a track meet. :coolio:
  11. Awww, we ain't THAT good. Just look for us on the new SEC Network.
  12. I'm interested in Groveton vs Trinity if you hear anything.
  13. It worked well on my phone last night, but that is no test like tonight will be. Probably have to wait until tomorrow and read the verdict from other users after a busy night tonight ... or test it yourself to be sure.
  14. Ok, so now this thread has turned into, "Who's Ur Daddy?" ???
  15. Sorry, HookemHorns88, were you saving that one for your own pre-game meal? :)
  16. They have a Whataburger now, also on Hwy 80.
  17. Jordan Wells #68 is how Navasota held the Bux to 3 points. He was in our backfield on every snap and stopped most plays before they even had a chance to get started.
  18. LE has speed all over the field and some heavy hitters along with an elusive QB. Once LE limits the mistakes, they will be making noise and causing trouble for every team they meet. The pieces are there. Good luck toward a successful season Leopard fans.
  19. Does Hallsville still have a track and fence around the football field?
  20. You might be thinking of this game that Gilmer played several years ago. http://www.baylorfans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107275 --
  21. There will have to be a LOT of strange things happen for LE to win this one. I'm not saying it's impossible, but LE will have to have many things go their way and even then, I don't think it will be enough. BTW, when was the last time Gilmer was held to only 24 points ???
