  1. Gilmer loved the halftime adjustments made by the Mustangs in the 2014 SC game.
  2. More that one poster has made the same kind of statement about PG and their own team this year, right before the PG freight train ran them over good. Should be a great game if WOS makes it by Wimberley tonight.
  3. I'm thinking Carthage actually had more resistance out of Henderson down at SFA.
  4. Yeah, if they ever figure out how to cross the 50, they might even score.
  5. Texarkana ESPN station. Have to click the middle of the top "Radio" looking icon and then the "Play" looking button on the same icon. http://www.espntexarkana.com/ --
  6. Not sure if it has been mentioned yet, but looks like the game will be broadcast on the internet on the Texarkana ESPN station. Have to click the middle of the top "Radio" looking icon and then the "Play" looking button on the same icon. http://www.espntexarkana.com/ --
  7. With a little more thought about the situation of visitor parking and the expected big crowd for Saturday, maybe us smart folks in Gilmer could have secured a large park lot and run shuttle service like Pine Tree does? It's almost like we want to make our visitors as uncomfortable and agitated as possible. :P
  8. Brings back memories of Dallas Roosevelt. Sometimes emotions get out of control and bad actions follow.
  9. K.Ingram, I agree. In the playoffs he would go into beast mode in the 4th quarter, putting that Bulldog team on his shoulders when they needed it. He should have an amazing Senior season next year.
  10. As Doomer likes to say, "True story". Be that as it may, Congratulations WOS! Not as purdy a win as many were expecting, but even if it was only by 1 point, a State Championship is a mighty fine accomplishment.
  11. Congrats to the Carthage Bulldogs. Boy, oh boy, did CS have chance after chance to take the victory straight to Jerry World, but the Bulldogs just did not give up. A great game and atmosphere. That Dawg D came up "Yuge" (or maybe "Bigly"?, "Big League"?) and seemed to get better and better as the game and OTs progressed. I'm looking for another shutdown game next week by the D against AW. Get you another title Carthage, you all earned it with tremendous effort over and over again in this playoff run.
  12. Rose just flat ran out of gas giving his all in that game. If he had about 1/2 ounce more energy left at the end of the game, we would probably not be debating this.
  13. You're living in the past Chuky. Gilmer is a metric team.
  14. The Sweetwater QB reminds me of the Gladewater QB, but not as fast. Looks still to be fast though. He will probably get lots of yards in the first half of the game this Friday. I'm wondering if the cold weather will favor the run more than the pass this week. Sweetwater primarily ran the ball last week against Seminole and of course Gilmer, as they have all year, were a pass-first team last week against Celina.
  15. The pounding that should be prepared for is that of #25, one of Gladewater's RBs. Celina better tighten them chin straps, it's fixin to get real. The Gladewater offense likes nothing better than to grind out long, clock draining drives that keep the opposing defense on the field. The Bobcats DLine better get extra rest this week cause it could be a very long game for them. Gilmer was able to get by Gladewater earlier in the year, but that means nothing at this point in the season.
  16. Nah, that would be the years 1927 & 1928 against Henderson 1927 - Gilmer 52, Henderson 0 1928 - Gilmer 101, Henderson 0 A combined score of 153-0 in two seasons.
  17. Hey, that's exactly what I was gonna say about Gladewater.
  18. Diboll came to play and had intensity and desire. By the end of the game, I was feeling like Diboll was the better team, just by appearances and determination. Gilmer will have to drastically step it up to get much farther into the playoffs this year. Just too many mistakes and lack of "IT". Not a knock on the kids, they are giving everything they got, but some years your team just never seems to sync and perform up to their perceived potential. The Buckeyes could still get on a roll and that's what makes the playoffs special, since you just never know when or if the magic might happen.
  19. That is what the Cubs kept telling themselves, like forever. That is why we continue to play the games each year. I expect Atlanta to put up a tremendous fight and keep everyone on the edge of their seats until the end. Buckeye turnovers, or lack of, will probably be what determines the winner of this game. Maybe this is the year of the Rabbit, but not according to the Chinese. Although, many of us will be Monkey's Uncles if Atlanta pulls out a win this week.
  20. Negatory. Better get all of your points in the first half. Gladewater held the ball for pretty much the ENTIRE 3rd quarter last week after their halftime adjustments against Gilmer. Gladewater has not given up many 4th quarter points all year. You better hope #25 McKnight is not back to full strength again this week, cause he is a load and #3 Davis will be more than you can handle and #11 Callaway? ... "Forget about it!". I don't see Gladewater having any "after Gilmer" letdown this year, they are just doggone good.
  21. You are not supposed to mention things like that. Gladewater is finally set up to get their revenge on the Buckeyes and here you go trying to drag them down with negativity. Bad vibes man. Just go with the flow and admit the Bears will win this game.
  22. The way I heard it, JT told the Refs that they could do it the easy way or he would help them do it by getting a tractor brought in to drag the bleachers out of the endzone, with the Henderson band still in them if need be.
