I would take Rusk in a home game for sure, but looks like Van is home so that changes things. Still taking Rusk but it might be difficult for them.

The seniors and juniors are the best group Brownsboro has had in several years. But they still couldn’t compete with Van and likely won’t do anything to make Carthage uncomfortable. Don’t see Carthage putting up more than 50 or so as they don’t generally beat up on schools just because.

Visitors sit facing west on the old home side. Has aluminum bleachers over there now. Parking is limited as previously stated. There are a few spots back south in the trees one might slip into. Turf is old and beyond needing to be replaced. Eat your pregame meal in Tyler.

The fact Waskom has 18 Seniors this year and only 4-5 players with varsity play experience tells us a lot about their offensive struggles. 1st year seniors coming from JV play are a long shot to get you very deep in a playoff run. I followed Waskom closely from 2012 to 2016. These kids may look like those kids, in fact they are bigger....but they are not on that level. May need to bring the “will to win” slogan back.

At least with this rivalry the intensity level will (should anyway)rise. I have been a little surprised this year in that regard. Penalties have really hindered any creation of momentum for the Waskom offense. Still expecting it to click though.

I agree. The offense has room for a lot of growth. Only a few of them have more than 4 starts on varsity as a Wildcat. Hoping they turn the corner soon.

Van. They always beat the Bears now days.

Timpson may have the scariest kick return team I have seen. I saw 11 players that looked like they could return it to the house. Nobody can challenge them in district.

Waskom offense finds its stride this week. Waskom big.... I hope.

Spring Hill will score against the bears. Defense graduated out of Bboro in 2009.

I am gonna bet on Bboro out scoring Spring Hill in this one. Defense not a factor here.

Kinda hate to see Waskom face this caliber of a team at this stage. Waskom’s offensive line is struggling to compete against kids nowhere close to what Timpson will put on the field. They are gonna have to get much better..... just got to keep working.

Overton. Know some of the kids at Crossroads. They were surprised they could score 54 points in a game... Ever...

If Pewitt. Scores 26 there will be dissatisfaction around Waskom. I won’t make any Waskom score prediction. Still too early to tell what they may do.

Valid points on all accounts. Pewitt looks big upfront so this should be another big learning experience for the line. Will be exciting to see if these kids on the line can develop. I think all of them had their first Friday night start in the Redwater game.
