it's called FOIA Freefom of information Act. Anyone can request one. its original purpose is/was to keep citizens "in the know" of what goes on within the parts of the government.

Jack Alvarez named new Marshall AD/HC
JasperDawg replied to TrumpisDump's topic in High School Sports
Jasper released to the public the applicant list along with the 4 finalist today. -
Kendrick Crumedy Offensive Coordinator / Running Backs / Strength and Conditioning Kendrick Crumedy is the offensive coordinator and running backs coach. He is in his 9th year of teaching at Manvel High School. Coach Crumedy teaches Government. He graduated from Sam Houston State University in May of 2008 with a degree in History and Secondary Education, and then again in 2010 with a Master's degree in Kinesiology - Sport Management emphasis. Coach Crumedy is married to Kimberly Montgomery Crumedy. They have 1 son, Kendrick Karter Crumedy. He is originally from Jasper, Texas and enjoys fishing, horseback riding and working out in his spare time.

If Crumedy doesn't get the job we as Jasper folks should be disappointed and ashamed of the school board and take steps to make sure this each one of them last term. Teamed with our current DC Malcolm Bronson, who knows it just may be the yellow brick road Jasper fans have hoped for and deserve. Making it even sweeter is the fact that they both are "one of our own" hometown Jasper alums. I am not trying to disrespect any of the other finalist/ applicants whatsoever. on paper anything and everything can work, and it may lead to an implosion but if Crumedy is hired I highly doubt it. For me personally the only other Coach who even came close to truly getting me excited for Jasper's football future was Garrett Morgan.

Jack Alvarez named new Marshall AD/HC
JasperDawg replied to TrumpisDump's topic in High School Sports
while that is most likely 100% true & correct, at the same time people are entitled to their personal thoughts and opinions. btw,(by the way) I don't recall anyone to this point doubting his knowledge and/or his coaching methods. Even while I personally think 125K (if true) is too much for him to ask for, especially in Jasper. I have not ever knocked him for what he does or doesn't know about football. -
Jack Alvarez named new Marshall AD/HC
JasperDawg replied to TrumpisDump's topic in High School Sports
his name was mentioned early on as a candidate here in Jasper. Jasper salary for HC/AD tops out at $102k (ish). Barbay after 10 years had a salary of mid to high 90s It was said Alvarez was looking for $125k and for his wife to have a position like she has had in Cuero. Director of special education department. it falls in administrative pay scale with price tag that ranges ln $90(s)k $200k a year basically to be HC/AD. when I heard that, I said publicly he was not worth it and for him to kick rocks. in my opinion the Lord of the Rings(Surratt) is the standard for HC/AD salary. Around $150k he makes right(rightfully so)? As successful Alvarez has been, It doesn't begin to hail in comparison. So he damn sure shouldn't be within $25k of Surratt's salary -

To hear Toby Foreman's name only makes sense. He has applied for the Jasper position more than once in the past. Having competed against Jasper for years when he was offensive coordinator and head track &field coach at WOS. He knows the potential in Jasper, even saying publicly he thinks Jasper is a premier job and the past tradition of Jasper track& field has always intrigued him. The late coach Lloyd Weatherspoon (former head track coach in Jasper) being one of the biggest influences of his coaching career. alot of people forget or just don't know that Toby lead WOS to 3 straight track& field state championships 2009-2011.

Mr. Sammy Owens infamously aka Powerlifter and one of the most die hard WOS fans to ever be passed away last night.

being he just was hired as Head BASKETBALL Coach at Spring Hill in 2021, I doubt it. he also is NOT a Jasper alum.

Class 4A D2 East Texas Mock Realignment Predictions
JasperDawg replied to Panther89's topic in High School Sports
UIL likes to treat Jasper like gypsies, so until it's said and done we never know where we will end up. the past ten years we have went from literally the smallest school in 4A DI to being DII in Region 2(while teams well north of us like Center and/or Carthage remained in Region 3). So on and so forth. LOL -
Bryan Barbay was our OC for a few seasons until he retired a couple years ago. He is now on Merryville Louisiana highschool coaching staff. Setting himself up with double retirement. I honestly think Darrell is following his footsteps. Unfortunately for the both of them their coaching careers come nowhere close to the LEGEND that is Curtis Barbay.
-
alot of folks don't know he was here in Jasper on Coach Walkoviak's staff back in the 90s. (not that has any matter on things nowadays) He left Jasper to go HC @ West Sabine for 2 years before going to Kirbyville. so on and so forth.
-
lol. ain't it though. who knows maybe he will lead the Wolverines to the promised land. DOUBTFUL but I suppose possible.
-
may very well be the case. though he does have grandchildren in J.I.S.D along with the fact he recently had a house built out by the lake (Rayburn). the right coach here in Jasper has the chance to play for titles as well. the athletes to do so are always here.

https://news.yahoo.com/mansfield-hires-darrell-barbay-football-192212198.html early rumors are that Jack Alvarez is the leading candidate to take over. Personally, I think our DC (a Jasper alum and former NFL player) Malcolm Bronson deserves a shot if he wants it.

This is why the Cowboys have not been to a championship game since the 1995 season. They are super underachievers. They have blue chip defenders, but is the defense good? No. They have a good offense on paper, but Dak Prescott is just average. Who has he ever made better? He’s only as good as the players around him. And Sunday, their supposedly great offensive coordinator (Kellen Moore) kept playing CeeDee Lamb in the slot, where he had to deal with starting-caliber players, instead of moving him outside against corners who had no business being on the field.
