  1. Didn't Lincoln and Stoops have good recruiting classes during that time? Or were they JUST outside of the threshold to be considered scumbags? How about Barry Switzer?
  2. It's free on YouTube right now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8jZmEKRCf4
  3. That gif is one of the best ever. That said, every A&M fan I know is more like that one Kevin Hart one..
  4. O Brother Where Art Thou is one of the finest comedy movies ever made. I now have to go rewatch it. So thanks for that.
  5. Thanks, Lobo! You're a gentleman and a scholar. Also, is the young QB at Longview any relation to you? Just saw his name... Anyway, Jimbo needs to back it up now. He beat Saban last October and pulled a good class. Now make it a regular thing. At the very least, play a competitive game against Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Show that you're not intimidated and that you're here to stay. Anyone can say it. Now go prove it.
  6. It's funny you talk about the far left and then cite "the country" as the jury of public opinion. "The country" you speak of just elected Joe Biden as their president, with 83 million votes. "The country" (even the right) locked down their economy for months to years to halt a virus (unsuccessfully, mind you) with a 99.98% survival rate. Sadly, watching politics the last 3-5 years, I've had to come to terms with the fact that the average American is absolutely stupid. Just how it is now, I guess. So yeah, I don't think citing "the entire country" is the big gotcha moment you think it is. They're easily swayed and gullible. But you're right- it's irrelevant. It's completely legal and if A&M bought their class, I'm happy they did it better than everyone else.
  7. A little shaky? Aside from 1-2 arms they’re just not good. That said, the hitting they’re doing in game 3s (17 against Kentucky, 23 against Georgia, 11 against Arkansas) has been a welcome change.
  8. No no, it's something I often wondered too. I was like, "How do these guys just do this for free?! Don't they have bills to pay?" It's amazing what athletic departments do to stay within compliance and games they play with taxes. Like A&M. If you buy tickets, you DONATE to the 12thManFoundation, not to Athletics directly. Has to do with all sorts of taxes and regulations. Summer camps are a completely separate entity too, and thus how a coach can "volunteer" (in that they don't take a salary from an Athletics Department) but still get paid.
  9. I will also say that while Dameyun Craig is an amazing recruiter, he doesn't seem to develop WRs well. It is what it is.
  10. He's not a volunteer anymore I believe, so he's getting paid now (not that he needs that lol). I haven't heard much about what his intention is coaching college ball. I assume Even volunteer coaches get paid. They do things like run the baseball camps and take a decent salary from that. For all intents and purposes, volunteer coaches get paid.
  11. That's insane too- his OPS is a ridiculous 1.328. Surely some of these numbers will drop a bit, though we've seen guys bat .400 in college. That would be cool if Texas had 2 guys do it.
  12. If I were a hitter for Texas, I'd be beyond angry. They were up 11-7 in the 8th against Tech, and that wasn't enough. Then up 12-11 in the 10th and that wasn't enough. Scoring 10 runs in games and it not being enough would have me furious. What more can they realistically do?! Then at one point in the game last night, they had scored 8 runs but were still trailing by 4. The Texas bats are scary good (4 guys hitting over .350?!!), and that Ivan Melendez is one of the best hitters I've ever seen. I just checked and his OPS is 1.453 and he's hit 13 HR in only 27 games. That is INSANITY. But man, I thought OUR bullpen was bad (and it is). Texas seems to have an even worse BP.
  13. ###, I posted this in another thread. Didn't mean for the mods to move it here and trigger the sensibilities of those in here!
  14. I mean that is a pretty arbitrary metric. I don’t ever remember seeing someone looking at “ fate of top rated recruit in a specific position” ever before. It was pulled out of their butt. It completely ignores guys who made it big just because they’re not the “top rated recruits”. It’s REALLY pathetic that twitter people look for stupid stuff like this as some big “gotcha” moment, but they hooked 2 people here already so I guess mission accomplished. Demas sat out a year in HS and never got it going. We have so many other awesome talent here and coming. Haters gonna hate.
  15. If A&M wins a national title with this class, I won’t give two ### what anyone says about the championship being “bought” lol I “care” only in that I’m in the pursuit of truth (not very much- this isn’t the first bit of fake news you guys have tried to push about A&M, nor will it be the last I’m sure) and if people are coming here posting things that aren’t true, I’m going to question it. And since the claim was made by someone else, it’s on them to prove it. I’m still waiting.
  16. Sadly, it will. There is going to be one conference and then everybody else. The SEC will have 24-30 teams and that'll be college football. With Texas and OU joining, I'd guess that a few more big teams will join and it'll basically be a minor league for the NFL. I could see PAC12 and B1G getting left out. Remember, there was a HUGE power play going on last year before the season when those 2 conferences tried to cancel the 2020 football season and the others said, "No." They IMMEDIATELY reversed course and had seasons.
  17. Lol, so basically you're saying that all of the recruits are publicly lying and that a guy named SlicedBread on BroBible is more credible? Awesome.
  18. Lmao. Not denying = admitting guilt Hope they never serve on a jury.
  19. I wonder how much is spent on some of these guys assistants.
