  1. Not to mention comments he made about College Station and A&M before. Ah well. Can't say I'm shedding a tear for Muschamp. He's a good DC. Head coach? Not so much.
  2. With 1 game left? Lol good one? Help you feel better about being the only team in the West to lose to Arkansas over the last few years? LOL
  3. Oh lookie here, since you're so quick to bring up this thread...
  4. You remembered this from last month? Lol why was it in your head so badly? Everyone in the thread was wrong about them, so if it helps you feel better, by all means point it out? Either way, yes, I was wrong and Texas grew as a team and outperformed my expectations (and the expectations of everyone here).
  5. Do you know where I can go to renew my subscription? Mine ran out like 3 days ago. One hell of a time for that to happen, and I can't figure out how to renew.
  6. Sounds like Chumley stepped up and was a leader tonight. Couldn't have picked a better time... From the Longview News Journal's Hayden Henry: TYLER — Sitting in the locker room at halftime, trailing 28-7, Longview head coach John King didn’t have much to say. He let his senior quarterback deliver the message to the Lobos. “It was quiet,” King said. “It couldn’t be better said than what Dezmond Chumley wrote on the board, ‘You can either play your hearts out or you can cry your hearts out,’ and it was time to make a choice.” Behind a four-touchdown night from Chumley — plus a two-point conversion pass — Longview rallied from the four-score deficit to knock off rival Lufkin, 43-42, in a Class 5A, Division I, Region II bi-district showdown at Rose Stadium in Tyler. Longview advances to the area round where they will meet Mansfield Lake Ridge at 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 22 back at Rose Stadium. Chumley finished the night with 305 yards and four scores — 155 and three touchdowns coming in the second half. “Stat-wise, I don’t know if it was his best game but as far as making plays in key situations and making the right throws, it was by far his best game of his career,” King said of the three-year starter.
  7. Haha... Whoops! How bad is it that now I wish SS had won??
  8. What's the deal with PA? I know he always seemed like a jerk, but he eased up a bit when Lufkin started losing in the 1st round every year. I guess this year is no different, when did he change back?
  9. Great win, Mavs! I DEFINITELY wouldn't want to play you guys right now- your offense is firing on all cylinders!
  10. Oh man. The entire staff after the 02 Evangel game... But yeah, killer game. Awesome for the Mavs as well! They beat a very good team tonight.
  11. Some of them are just terrible! I remember a New Orleans Bowl that literally had about 15 people in the stands. Schools lose so much money on that.
  12. So we're going to have a 5-team playoff? Or 10? No at-larges? And what about Independents? Are we going to force them to join conferences so they can have a chance at winning a national title?
  13. Saying "if you lose you don't deserve it" is not the same as saying "if you lose, you have no room to complain if you're left out". By that note, why don't we just have a 128-team playoff and everyone play 8 games against random opponents?
  14. Nope. Had their chance and blew it. Sure, it's a complaint, and no, it's not fair. If there are 9 one-loss teams, then even 8 spots won't solve that. I do like eight, meaning 5 power conference champs and 3 at-large teams, but even then, there will be teams who have 1 or 2 losses that will claim life is unfair. The idea of having to win a conference to get in is nice, but all teams don't determine conference champs in the same way, and what if multiple teams don't meet the requirements?
  15. I disagree. Teams who lose have no grounds to stand on. Might undeserving teams get in? Sure, but teams on the outside looking in had control of their own destinies. They lost it? Their fault. Same reason I never thought anyone got "left out" of the BCS games. They let themselves out when they lost.
  16. Either way, those on the outside looking in have no room to complain other than Marshall. Those teams have lost.
  17. Yeah, makes no sense that an undefeated team should have a shot. Take a lap.
  18. Whoever is chosen, others can't really complain because they controlled their destinies at the beginning and came up short.
  19. Well, IMHO, Baylor and TCU didn't handle their business on the field, so they can't really complain about much. Three teams should be guaranteed a spot in right now, and those're Mississippi State, FSU, and Marshall- they've all won every game in front of them.
  20. But he did play his senior year with only Trent from that bunch. He had some killer talent around him, yeah. But even at the middle school level, he just won games... Even against guys like Vondrell. And to the Lufkin guy who called Trent names, you're absolutely right.
  21. You should see him make a fool of himself in the Longview threads every week. Good stuff. Check out the Longview/Lufkin thread right now. He tries to jump on both fan bases and both tell him to get lost.
  22. There's a reason that no fan base claims him.
