Yep. Left a huge hole. Still, as people mentioned, got way too conservative, made too many mistakes, and just didn’t play well. Lancaster made adjustments and they’re a team with athletes. They played a tough schedule and got better because of it.

Yep. With a decimated team, that isn’t the worst decision. Still, can’t fumble on your own 35 and false start so much.

I don’t really want Ryan Day. He inherited a made program there and just kinda strolls through an easy schedule every year ala Riley at OU. Plus, he wouldn’t leave the made job with a huge salary to take an incentive based contract which is what A&M is going to be. Now, Richard Day, on the other hand…. I might be interested in him.

Oof. That's part of what happened in 2003 before playing South Garland in Waco. I remember a practice that week and counting 36 guys (and a lot of them were JV who were there to be scout teamers). Add in a couple of players being academically ineligible and you had what you saw in that first round loss. Man, you talk about a team who's hearts weren't in it... All year.
