I drove down from Paris tonight just to see how good the Bulldogs were and I'm glad Paris doesn't have to play them. What impressed me more than anything about them was the size of their line. I'm talking 4A and 5A size line. They are for real.

The only reason I ever heard he left publicly was to be close to his aging and ailing parents.

For a while........all I've heard from the Kilgore fans is how good their defense is.

If you all don't mind me expressing my opinion and telling how the cow ate the cabbage regarding the Paris football program in a short statement. They always have talented kids with football potential and should be a state contender at least once in a while but the problem is mental toughness, discipline, and heart. If Paris plays a tough team as physically talented as they are and they run into adversity in a game, the team simply folds up and gives it up. I was hoping Bowman could change that. In time he might, I don't know?

Paris fumble.........they're giving this one away. Paris is moving the ball at will but keeps shooting theirself in the foot.

Hell of it is.............Paris doesn't seem to have any trouble moving the football.

The school districts may very well merge but I bet they keep the two high schools seperate.

There is and has been a lot of talk around the Paris area of the merger of Paris and North Lamar ISD's. I do not know if it happens if the high schools will merge or not. Anyway the talk seems to be getting more serious. Anybody know any more than this? If the high schools do merge would it be a 5A high school?

Why does it take an offense you have never seen before to beat you? How often does a team's defense run across a new offense? I'd say not very often these days.

I think Paris should abandon the spread this game, come out in a new formation and try to run it down Kilgore's throat..........if possible. They have two real good halfback/tailback type players (#2 and #3) that they need to get the ball in their hands a whole lot more than they do.

Paris had a plethora of penalties in this one against Kaufman, I mean disgusting to watch and yet won in spite of it all. They had two TD's called back and numerous big plays. It should have been a runaway if Paris had played a decent game. If Paris can play a disciplined game against Kilgore they can hang with them, if not they don't have a chance.
