EF at Jefferson on Thursday

The exodus of kids doesn’t have anything to do with Ford not coming back.

Tell your son to pick it up then

They are at around 30-33 give or take a couple. Take a couple more than give a couple. They are dropping next go around to 2A guaranteed. It will be hard for Coach Crow to field a JV team in my opinion unless some kids are gonna miraculously be transported in. But, he fielded a JV team last year with low numbers and I am sure he will try again. He works hard to get the kids a chance to play. I feel like he has done a good job with what he has had to work with and the continued bad luck he has been dealt. A lot of respect for him and the other coaches. But it is a real shame to see the low numbers.

That 2012 team didn't hit their stride until half way thru district, maybe even the end of the regular season. -

Is Harmony the 3A D2 Region 3 Favorite ?

He's been gone. Left before school was out. They have lost a few female athletes to Beckville as well. The Sup has just about put the finishing touches on EF. You can thank the board members for hiring her without conducting any interviews with more qualified candidates that had applied. -
The complex they are playing at has turf fields. It's turf infields anyway. Can't remember if the outfield is turf as well or grass.
-
I believe they are playing at Elysian Fields High School.

I don't think it's coaching. I think Crow has done a pretty good job with what he has to work with. He was dealt a bad hand to start and then the unfortunate incident with his best athlete and another player involved. Now, you have a couple of others transferred out. Scott Surratt would not win with the talent EF has right now. EF's issue is teacher, coaching or staff pay and a Superintendent that has no business being a Superintendent. The Sup wasn't even qualified for the job when they got it. That's why kids are leaving and EF won't be any good anytime soon. Make a change at the top and things could turn around with the right Superintendent hire. But 5 members of the school board and the Superintendent have put EF in the position they are in. -

I'll give my opinion and not sure if I will get my response whacked or not. But without giving a lot of details EF Superintendent -

EF will be worse this coming year than last. And that has zero to do with their coach. EF kids are leaving in bunches. The kids that stay and the coaches that stay will give it everything they have but they have low, low numbers. It's really a shame to see how a school can go down hill so quickly. EF will definitely drop to 2A in the next reclassification. Not only are they losing high school kids, they are losing 7th and 8th graders at the same rate. EF may end up like Karnack in a few years if they don't make some changes. -
Same for EF. They have dropped a lot of students.
-
With the new AD designation/hire, this was the plan all along.
-
EF will move down. Their enrollment is dropping at a high rate. It won't matter if they lower the cutoff number for 3AD2, EF will drop down.
-
I would like to see this happen.

He was killing it in their workouts. He was going to be starting. No one was going to be able to cover him in that class either. Like others have said, he left because of UIL, not because he wasn't good enough.

Uhhhh, Hampton has D1 offers from the big dogs of college football, I don't think big fish in a little pond applies to him.
-
I believe he is coaching boys basketball as well, not just AD.
-
May be the case of a retirement in the future and they leveraged the AD position to attract Lewis.
