  1. No way that kid will be eligible.
  2. Wow! Would have never guessed that.
  3. Good Point. You are right there. I should have clarified, the playoff teams from our area. Point is, EF overachieved with what they had in my opinion.
  4. EF overachieved last year with what they had. They weren’t even on the same level as Daingerfield athletically. That senior class had zero skill players that would have started on any other team. Goodnight would have and that’s it. The Sr QB gave everything he had and got the most of his QB ability before he got hurt. The senior class this year is less talented than the 22 class. It will be all juniors & sophomores for EF this year with a few freshman mixed in out of necessity.
  5. EF's issue will be depth and lack of varsity experience. They will have some good kids playing that will be better the second half of the season because of gained experience. The "starters" will be fine, it's when they have to get a breather is when EF may get in trouble. Just my 2 cents
  6. Correct, on both statements. EF lost to Chilton. EF, Harmony, and Waskom basically had the same path to win their pool and qualify for state. Harmony & Waskom had 2 qualifiers in their pool and each other. EF had 1 qualifier and 1 no show. And you could say the same for Queen City. They had the same path as EF.
  7. EF's issue will be depth. They have some decent "frontline" kids but when they need a break, there won't be much help. EF played without a "starter" & a few more kids. They only had 14 kids play. Fatigue caught up with them in the end. Harmony looked good though. One team in EF's pool was a no show and the other already qualified. Harmony only had to beat Waskom to get out of their pool.
  8. EF has had 2 really good football players from that class move or transfer out for the same reasons. One moved to Marshall and one transferred to Carthage last year. He will be eligible to play for Carthage this year.
  9. Ripple effect of the decisions the district/board has made lately. Hated to lose him and the family. Need good families like them to stay in the district. But I understand their reasons. Wish the young man the best of luck. Good kid and great family.
  10. Off topic a little, but yall will love your new high school principal
  11. Even from Marshall folks? They hired a proven successful coach like Tatum did, right?
  12. You haven’t shown any proof what I posted was not factual. You don’t know what position I hold within the district. What I posted was facts and truth, it’s just a hard pill for you to swallow as a Chapman supporter. EF got a new coach and it’s time to move forward. But same to you, have a nice day.
  13. Didn’t fail background check and has zero character issues. We must be discussing two different coaches.
  14. Lol, you are making a fool of yourself. You don’t have a clue. Just cause your daddy was put on the hiring committee last minute doesn’t mean you know anything. Especially what happened before the hiring committee was formed. Go let your mommy take care of you like she has done her entire life. Get off the Internet before she has to bail you out of a bunch of trouble again. Poppycock like you are posting is part of the reason she was voted off the board too. Need to learn when to pipe down Junior.
  15. What have I posted that’s false? You post the same rhetoric on the local EF social media pages. I have read it for months. You defend Chapman to the end despite his job performance. Now defending the hiring process. You think you know but you don’t. If you and others would take off the Orange & White colored glasses, EF could improve even more. Not a keyboard warrior, I’m just posting facts, not rumors. Can back everything I have posted up also. Just choosing to keep it basic out of respect to the coaches that interviewed and applied and coach that was hired. Funny you complain about anonymous message boards but the title of your screen name includes “burner account”
  16. From what you have posted, I feel like I know more that you do about the situation. But no need to continue to argue. Technically, the interim superintendent made the choice. Not gonna get into those details. But from who I think you are, you should be very familiar with the committee and what took place on the committee.
  17. I said a reason why he was gone. Not the only reason. And every coach on staff and half the community knew Ford was retiring. I doubt Chapman, Ford’s boss, didn’t know he was retiring. Chapman didn’t want to go thru the hiring process and asked Ford to stay multiple times. Chapman wanted it as easy as possible.
  18. I don’t think I said the board asked him to retire. I said the hiring process was some of the issue. Nothing I said was false. Didn’t attack him personally either. He knew Ford was retiring since August and posted the job in December. So, I have a little idea of what went on.
  19. Who are the multiple coaches that were let go by EF after a 5th round appearance?
  20. Not the home run I was referring to if I am the one you saw say home run. But I don’t know anything about this coach. So, gonna give him a chance and be supportive.
  21. . If he doesn’t, he will be standing on the sideline by himself.
  22. Board was never presented a list. That was a big issue and a reason why Superintendent is no longer there. He drug his feet too long. But you are right, he interviewed a while back with former superintendent.
  23. I feel better about it since they opened it up to outside candidates. Interim superintendent doesn’t have enough experience to get the job in my opinion.
