I may be stepping on toes with this post but its my honest opinion.
White Oak is down this year. They have no size to them. A lot of guys going both ways unlike last year they had multiple people for every spot on the field basically. You can tell when the players going both ways are wore out. First game a lot of cramps going on. Lost most of our wrs and secondary. Lost like 7 or 8 defensive starters I think it is. White Oak lacks speed except for the QB and 2 others run like 4.8&4.7. The RB is a sophomore thats starting to hit the holes pretty hard, & looks to be getting better here and there though. We lost our star OC. Our new OC which I think hes been there a while looks like he likes to run the ball quite a bit sometimes the same plays over and over. Sometimes it looks predictable. White Oak used to be a high powered offense throwing the ball constanly with hood as a true dual threat QB. Now White Oak OC likes to hand the ball off constantly out of the spread, to a sophomore RB up the gut that tends to be highly predictable. Last year they ran a lot of QB draws and run plays with the QB and screen plays and this year they havent. The two main things to be plaguing the offense seems to be WR speed RB speed, Oline not picking up late blitzes, and offensive play calling IMO. Whats plaguing the defense is experience, depth, lack of tenacity by some, and speed. What I mean by lack of tenacity is not everyone seems to be flying to the ball, and a lot of arm tackling misses. The defense has given up something like 154 points in 4 games. The backup qb which is also a WR and DB didnt play in the DF game. Idk when hell be back. WO has some players to be a good team it just seems they arent clicking together as a whole. My honest suggestion is that once the sumrow backup QB gets back they rotate him in with hood either at another RB spot or WR spot as well as rotate him in on defense. I feel he would make an excellent FS and put the current FS back at CB. We need to make some drastic changes on defense if they plan on making the playoffs and even winning in the playoffs. The backup QB can throw the ball good hes just not that fast. Hood can run really well so why not switch them out and see if it works out well. Hoods agility is the best of anyone tested at the combine in the spring hes quicker than Lufkin, Longview, and Sulphur Springs players. I think hed make an excellent WR or RB slot back or wing back or something like that. Also hed probably be a big anchor to a defense that needs some speed.
