  1. Mount Pleasant's playing okay basketball. They're 8-5 despite not having starters (PG) Carliss Robinson (all-state) and (PF) Kevin Cheatum. When those 2 come back next week, things will be different and we'll see the Tigers win more games if they can get some chemistry. They're too small right now. © 6'6" Scooter Van Dyke's and Triston Hill are leading the team right now.
  2. From Mount Pleasant: PG Carliss Robinson (returns to action in Jan. from broken arm suffered against Whitehouse in football playoffs) Backup PG Stedman Chism has been enjoying the limelight since Robinson's been out. F/C Scooter Van Dyke (6'6 - 190) F - Triston Hill
  3. This thread is about the 2nd Greatest Player Ever...
  4. We all know MJ is the best ever... who's #2?
  5. Dallas could easily put KG at Center, starting over Dampier or Diop. KG brings better defense than both, is quicker off his feet which allows him to block more shots, and plays better offense than both. And he's an unselfish player. He doesn't take near as many shots as the other stars in the league. His rebounding is top-tier also. Check the stats... He could also go to the PF at times and send Dirk to SF with Damp or Diop down on the block. There are some options... it'd work in Dallas.
  6. wow...that would be a sick team...but where's Kareem? LoL!!! I don't know how I forgot Kareem???!!! Ya know who else had sick game.... James Worthy. He's slept on!
  7. Saying that LeBron is the best ever is a stretch dalcow. I can name a few players that LeBron hadn't surpassed yet to take that title: 1) Michael Jordan (no brainer, still the G.O.A.T.) 2) Magic Johnson 3) Larry Bird 4) Bill Russell 5) Wilt Chamberlain 6) Hakeem Olajuwon 7) Shaq 8) Kobe Bryant There are a few others too... He's still not better than what Isaiah Thomas was with the Pistons or Clyde Drexler either... LeBron has a great chance to become the greatest player ever. But, he still has some dues to pay. That greatest player ever claim can easily become the "greatest player to not win a championship"... and those don't qualify for the title of G.O.A.T. Just ask Patrick Ewing or Charles Barkley or John Stockton and Karl Malone. But, it will be interesting to see and watch... LeBron's game is sick!
  8. Uh... we happen to be discussing their seasons. You go look at the numbers. And until Smith wins a championship, we really can't even compare the two. Let's come back in a few weeks and maybe we this thread will be legit then. I like Ohio State and Troy Smith. He and Vince are really good friends too. But this really isn't a certified conversation at the moment.
  9. Then you should move FROM TEXAS and go to Ohio. Since you don't seem to know where you are. Of course the home state's gonna go for the home team. Guess who the people in Ohio root for??? Hmmm.... Toledo? Dayton?? Miami of Ohio??
  10. First of all, it wasn't a question about who played more, it's who played better. You remind me of Donny from the Big Lebowski. You're out of your element. Smith played more, and the Buckeyes scored the grand majority of their points with him in the game. I think Zwick managed a field goal. If Smith had played the whole game, there's not a doubt in my mind that they'd have managed more than the 3 points that Zwick brought them, and the Buckeyes would have won the game. For the record, I don't even like Ohio State. All the homerism on this board is sickening. Oh well, I think I'll watch Texas's low class bowl and watch Mack Brown pout about not being in the BCS. You mean like Ohio State last year?
  11. That may be the funniest thing you've ever said. Vince is having his fun this year, but give the NFL defensive minds an offseason to study his every tendency on film and I assure you we won't be mentioning Vince Young and Greatness in the same sentence again. Do you think about your statements before you say them? Go back and read that and tell me where that made sense. "give the NFL defensive minds an offseason to study his every tendency on film" ha ha ha.... VINCE YOUNG IS A ROOKIE if you hadn't noticed. They shouldn't have to study films at all against a rookie QB!!!! THIS IS THE NFL!!!! VY is playing with GROWN MEN!!! Big difference in college and pro players. Thanks for proving our point!!
  12. That's not what this thread is about. You can't win this debate HighRoller... Troy Smith had better talent around him than Vince Young did at Texas, and STILL BEAT USC'S most dangerous team ever. Imagine Vince throwing passes to Santonio Holmes, Ginn, and Gonzales. AND Smith had Pittman back there to take up some slack from him throwing. Ask Troy if he's better than Vince was and he'll tell you himself no.
  13. Stedman Chism played an outstanding game. Starting PG Carliss Robinson is still out with a broken arm sustained during the football playoff game against Whitehouse. MP is looking pretty good. Starting SF Kevin Cheatum (6'3 200)was out with ligament damage in his thumb also.
