Last time Sabine lost a 2A district game was 1985. Just some fyi lol

Davis will be missed for a few reasons a. he was a basketball coach only not a football coach doing basketball as a second job. this may not sound important but it definitely was at sabine and i expect they will hire a football coach as his replacement. b. The thing coach Davis did the best was get gym access for the kids. That was an everyday struggle at Sabine where for some reason they would rather have gym doors locked and kids running the roads than doing something productive. Hopefully the next coach will keep fighting that battle to get the kids access. c. Yes Davis had some young talent when he came but remember he bucked the Sabine trend of playing the kids to keep parents happy and played the young kids to develop them early. If you think that was easy or he didn't catch a lot of grief over that then you aren't very familiar with Sabine politics. d. Sabine had a couple really special kids the last few years who refused to lose. The group next year will be inexperienced at varsity level but will be very senior and junior heavy again and the Bridges Gibbs kid if he keeps working hard will be a great player so remember that name. I'm not sure how anyone can say last few years teams weren't a "team" in the very essence of the word TEAM. If the younger kids learned anything I sure hope it was work you tail off, know your role in the team and winning takes care of itself!! We are going to miss you TIM!!!!!

I will say it was disappointing Jackson from Sabine wasnt selected but congrats to all the participants!

Good luck to Colton Kirk and Noah Jackson playing tonight in the Texas Roundup 1-3A All Star Game in Maypearl! Not sure if anyone else from area is playing in boys or girls game but I'm sure you both will represent Sabine and East Texas very well!!

I know the Bullard Coach is a great guy but Minta's dad along with Minta's tremendous work ethic earned this honor. You will not find a harder working basketball family around. Thanks for all you do Randy. Neither of my kids would have ever been the players they are today without your help!!!

Has anyone seen boys all district selections? I haven't seen it in paper.
