I agree we have some good defensive players but how many years are we going to have to endure the black sag defense. We need some new blood brought in to help our defense out it seems we get weaker every year. I wish we could get a defense like our offense we could win state every year. Not knocking our coach now but we need a change fast.

You are so right about the defensive woes we really need some work there. I thought that after traylor left we might put more into defense instead of everything into offense but that did not happen. not saying our players are bad but might want to look into getting another defensive coach and beefing up what we have. sure would be nice to not have to outscore everybody in a footrace against time.

Gilmer never has a lights out defense. That has been our weakness for years. We just have to out score the other team. But looks like P-Grove could use some pass defense also. If and when we ever get a good defense then we can get another state champ ring but until then we will just settle for what we got. Good game but dont see either team going all the way this year.

We have lots of space for parking on visitors side now but they do not want to level and pave it for parking. Instead of moving the bus barn why not move the tennis courts which are in terrible shape. All behind the bus barn all the way to the old elementary is ghs property and the lot behind the visitors stands is GHS property. The old band practice field in front is just sitting there doing us no good. Put that in a bond with a new H.S. instead of a indoor practice field and see what happens they want to cram what they want down our throats instead of looking at all the options that might make sense. Then they get mad and wonder why everyone voted no.

We take the tickets on the home side it is true, game is sold out there will be no tickets for sale. if you have a ticket you will get in if you don't so sorry you will not get in. We also put our band on visitors side and make the other team listen to our fight song over and over again. I know they love that. Waiting for something bad to happen there its just a matter of time.

By the way the other old buckeye is older than me. Now with that being said i am not stupid enough to say for sure that we will win it all next year but we have a undefeated JV coming up and wouldn't be suprised at all to see us even better than this year who knows we are talking about young students. Well saying that take seven away from Gilmer and add 7 to Pittsburg and well what do you know Gilmer still wins the game. Thats all part of the game and that is why they play it. fumbles, interceptions and penalties are all factors you have to deal with. Now the game is over lets move on to the playoffs I am sure Pittsburg will do well they have talent and should win some some tough games we are rooting for you to do well our friendly neighbors to the north.

I have not looked foward to this week at all as I believe it will be the hardest game yet. But with that being said if we do meet up again in the playoffs I would rather lose the first game, if we had to lose one and win the second one, it is hard to beat a good team twice. Well let me see, LE had 400 yds rushing on us according to your stats. Carthage had 200 yds rushing on us according to your stats, and Nac. had 300 yds rushing on us according to your stats right? Well putting that in my calculator looks like 200 yds rushing and 300 yds rushing is a whole heap better than 400 yds rushing man dont take no rocket scientist to figure that one out.
