I agree 100% with Matt. They’ve had kids move out transfer out. But they still have a good base. How hard are they willing to work is the big question. With their upcoming schedule, a .500 record isn’t out of the question next year, if they get the right HC in there

They hired a lady Sup’t. Don’t know how close they are to hiring a new HFC. It needs to be soon, they have a lot of work to do, getting kids out and trying to get the ones who’ve transferred out to come back. Going to take a few years and a lot of work to get this program back up and running.

Gunter has 2 ex coordinators who’ve done very well as head coaches. Charlie Roten at Rogers and Rodrigo Castorena at Cooper. Gill will be the next of Fieszel’s coordinators to lead a good program

I know it would have been a stretch to hire the OC at Gunter, but it just means another school, maybe Pilot Point, will benefit from Navasota’s over sight. Wherever Gill goes, and will get a Hc job soon, they will be the beneficiary. He’s going to be a really good HC

It surprised me too. His record at Kirbyville was 15-15. Leads me to think if he doesn’t have a good year, Fedora will be back next year. Tough job
