  1. I think the Katy Tigers will have something to say about one of those trophies.
  2. Uck. I hate Waco ISD Stadium.
  3. Sorry for the mistake. Wonder why the Longview News-Journal would go ahead and publish that we play at Texas Stadium next week...when we really don't?
  4. Still a week to play...but figured I'd post it anyways.. Saw this in the paper today.. Pretty good article in the Longview News-Journal today about how coaches pick playoff stadium... http://www.news-journal.com/sports/content...obosidebar.html
  5. Cheapest I believe is $24. I sat Center Ice at the very top (I love seeing every thing that's happening and developing) for only $40, at the Toronto game. The scary thing is that it's even cheaper here in St.Louis. I believe it's $24 for those same Center Ice seats that I had, up here.
  6. http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app?articleid=34495...mp;service=page NHL schedule changes accent varietyJohn Kreiser | NHL.com columnist | The NHL Board of Governors approved a scheduling change Thursday that will produce more inter-conference matchups, increasing the variety of teams fans can expect to see next season. Under the new format, approved at the League meetings in Pebble Beach, Calif., and scheduled to begin in 2008-09, teams will play each club in their division six times, a total of 24 games, and the 10 other clubs in their conference four times, a total of 40 games. The remaining 18 games in the 82-game schedule will involve each club playing all 15 clubs in the other conference at least once, home or away. The three remaining games will be devoted to inter-conference “at-large” scheduling. "The sense of the board was we heard the concerns raised by some of the fans, and this was an attempt to be responsive to the concerns of our fans," NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman said. Under the current format, adopted for the 2005-06 season, teams play their four division rivals eight times each, the other 10 teams in their conference four times apiece, and 10 games against teams in the other conference — five home games against one division and five away games against another, with no games against teams in the remaining non-conference division. The new schedule allows for each team to play every other team at least once a season.
  7. Longview is going to be good no matter if they drop to 4A or not. The kids coming up on the JV and Freshman level would without a doubt content for a 5A State Championship, much less a 4A State Title.
  8. Empty netter and the Devils are gonna win it 4-2.
  9. They score. Modano makes a bad pass...turns it over...2 on 1 and it's 3-2 Devils.
  10. They score. Wow. Wrap around, 5-hole on Turco and into the net. It's 2-1 Dallas.
  11. From what I've seen of pictures from the Leander fans from the Klein Oak game...I think there will be plenty of room for Lobo fans...on the visitors side AND home side.
  12. And for some reason, I feel the same way. I dunno, we'll see. The ones I usually don't think will be a problem for the Lobos, usually always end up being the ones that are the tough ones.
  13. What smack do those two schools have to talk? :turned: :bangin:
  14. Leander is A LOT like John Curtis IMO. They like they run run run o and run some more. They love controlling the clock, the ball, and everything about the game. If Longview can get up 21 like they did were against South Garland, the Lobos will be good to go. Leander just doesn't have strike fast type of drives, unless they break a long run. Listening to their game against Klein Oak, the Panthers just lost it at the end. Leander controlled the clock but Klein Oak was up by 9 or so. The Lions kept turning the ball over, I think it was 3 times maybe 4. And then Klein Oak just stopped playing, and the Lions came back on them. Should be a great game, but I'll go with Longview by 10.
  15. Rematch or not, we won't know until Saturday. Longview has a tough, tough Leander team to look foward to. And Carter, themselves, is going to have an extremely tough time against Pflugerville. Either way, both games on Saturday should be a good ones.
  16. Longview has been set since the game ended last night. 2:00 PM, Saturday, Corsicana at Tiger Stadium.
  17. Longview is on an 11 game winning streak, coming into the game at 11-1. Longview has ended two "streaks" this season with Lufkin and South Garland and now look to break past the third round for the first time under John King. Leander has won their last four games, after dropping two straight in the middle of the season. Leander beat Klein Oak last week in a come from behind victory, 27-24. KO led the Lions 24-13 before Leander put on the shoes in the fourth and took the victory. This is the first meeting between the two schools. Thoughts? Game is set for 2:00 PM, Saturday, at Tiger Stadium in Corsicana.
  18. Winner of the Longview/South Garland game, gets the Leander Lions.
  19. Hope a big portion of Lobo Nation is able to make it on Saturday. Flew in from St.Louis to go to the game, flying out after. See y'all in green on Saturday! GO LOBOS GO!
  20. David Hinojosa is a very smart man. Prove em wrong, Lobos!
  21. I'll be sure to bring this one back up on February 1st, when Longview drops to 4A.
