  1. Fundamental. They have a very quick guard that can pass the ball well, and another guard that is pretty solid on the drive. #23 I believe is their best shooter, but I have never seen him really drive or do anything else in the games that I have watched. They have good size inside, but not what I would call a dominant post. They do not have the athletes that Dangerfield had on Friday, but they do have some solid basketball kids.
  2. Colby has done a great job all year long. The team showed a lot of toughness Friday night, and have all season long. It’s Going to be a good game Tuesday night.
  3. Pretty sure they have been without their best player and leading scorer for a few weeks now due to injury. I believe he will be back soon, but I could be wrong on that.
  4. I have a kid that is looking for an AAU/Summer league team for this summer. He was suppose to play with a team located in Houston, but long story short, it fell through. I know this is a little last minute, but figured I would post here and see if anyone knew of anyone seeking a player to fill their roster for the summer. A little specifics, he will be a senior next year, about 6'3, a combo guard, and has been on Varsity since his Freshman year. Willing to travel to play on a team as I know there are not many, if any, East Texas based teams. If anyone knows of anyone, or needs more specifics, feel free to PM me. Thanks in advance.
  5. Good coach, even better person. Lindale made a great hire in my opinion.
  6. Anyone have details on the winona over arp upset?

  8. Doesn't say anything about it on their website. It says they'll be at ft bend Travis that day.
  9. Seems like they've played this one pretty close to the chest or the AD already had someone picked out. I didn't realize they'd be down the next few years? I grew up in East Texas and it was very rare for Tatum to ever have a down year in basketball. I'm not doubting you by any means, I don't have a clue about next years roster, it's just crazy to hear.
  10. Anyone have any inside information on who the front runners are for this job? I'd assume it has received a lot of interest.
  11. Yes, same family. The father coaches at Bowie now I believe.
  12. Great coach that cares about his kids. I wish him the best of luck in the future.
  13. I hate to be that guy, but that was one of the worst officiated games I've seen and for it to be the National Title game is ridiculous. Higgins is always terrible and has been for years, I have no idea how he was picked to call last nights game. After Jenkins picked up his 2nd foul, and it easily could of been his third, they didn't call another foul on Nova for what seemed like forever. Nova is a jump shooting team while Carolina does their damage in the paint and Nova was much much more physical than Carolina. Arcidiacno (sp) slapped and hit every time his man had the ball and they still haven't called it but on the other end Joel James is playing straight up defense in the post and gets called for some ticky tack on the floor foul. At the end of the first half, Jackson gets hammered on a fast break lay-up for a no call and Nova comes down and hits a shot at the buzzer which makes it a four point swing. They missed a ton of travels on Nova, including one when it's 70-69 with 5 seconds on the shot clock and Hicks ends up getting called for a VERY weak foul. Now on the other side, Nova hit some very very tough, contested shots. Low percentage shots in the 2nd half that went in. You can't take that away from them, they did make the plays. They also hit some uncontested shots because of their high ball screen and Carolina's inability to hedge or get around the screen. And Carolina went on a long drought in the 2nd half and put themselves in a hole by not scoring. Regardless, I don't think the better team won last night. Just my opinion. That last play, Villanova made the right play by leaving it for the inbounder trailing the play who was left unguarded and Jenkins hit a tough, deep 3. Big shot because if that game goes to overtime, Carolina had all of the momentum. Also, after hearing the press conference from Roy Williams, I have to say he's one of the classiest coaches out there and you can tell how much he cares about his kids and how much he hurt for them last night. Compare his reaction to Coach K's after losing to Oregon. And keep in mind this is the national championship his team just lost on a last second 3. Still a great ending to the tournament. Back to back big 3's. I don't know if there has ever been a better ending to a National Championship. To me, this was even better than the Kansas comeback in 2008 when Chalmers hit the big 3 to send the game to overtime against Memphis.
  14. I'm tied for 19th in the group with 910. I have UNC winning it all. OU really let me down in my bracket. I had them moving onto the championship to face Carolina. Nova has surprised me though, I honestly didn't think they were that good the few times I watched them play earlier this year. The good news is last time they made a final four, it was Carolina who ended their run back in 2009. I'm hoping the Tar Heels can do it again. The only thing that worries me is Roy Williams coached teams give up a lot of open 3 pointers. Nova won't get many 2nd chance opportunities but if they're on like they were against OU, they won't need them. I'm hoping for a good, close, high scoring game.
  15. I'm sitting at 740 with 640 PPR. I think I'm tied for 40th in this group on ESPN. I have UNC and OU in the championship with UNC pulling it out. I originally had Cal making the deep final four run but changed it the day the tournament started when I found out their PG broke his hand. Glad I did but even if he didn't break his hand, the way Brown was playing probably meant an early exit for Cal anyway. Baylor and West Virginia making early exits killed my bracket for the most part. I guess I had too much faith in the Big 12 teams.
