Yes and no. If you are ahead enough that you are playing JV or 3 rd string, remember the other team is already beaten and deflated. Good that those kids get the “playoff game” experience but have a running clock. The other coach might just agree with you and appreciate it and everyone feels better about it. IMO

I agree to part of your statement about the 75-0, but with all due respect, you start in August and by November you are worried about your starters staying in playing shape, you might as well air up the basketballs. Just the way I look at it.

This happens all the time. Someone gets on here and gives an opinion about something and someone else has to try to knock it or doesn’t agree with it. The topic was started for conversation only. I got it —- let’s let all teams go to the playoffs and everyone is happy. The dc would face the last place team in the other district annd so on and the uil would get rich . Best of luck to your team and prayers for no injuries. Everything else is really not that important.

This is not all of last nights scores but of the ones on Texas high school scoreboard I saw 24 games in which the winner scored over 60 points including good ole Beckville and their 77 points on Rivercrest. Wimberly laid 81 on some team. Yep, definitely need those types of games!!!!!!!!

Exceptions to everything

7 on 7 does more harm to the team concept than any 11 man offense I know. An athlete has a good 7-7 summer and thinks he is a superstar. Watched it play out this year in AA ball. Kid is scared of contact and gets hurt when he gets hit.

I am going with the 4th place team out of the Texas High , Marshall district to knock off the winner on the other district. The Marshall district was just crazy.
