  1. Again generic statement about Anytown texas
  2. I am with you Greezy, 2 very good programs, where they do things right. Wish I could come watch some of the games. Ya'll do such a good job hosting this tournament, in my eyes it is as good as the st tourney. Good luck to everyone.
  3. Did not watch them, had no clue, only saw parts of couple of games. My comment was generic for any team, not just your friend. Oh, and now I know the rest of the story. I feel all giddy now.
  4. Agree, but some athletes can be more successful in other offenses than the spread and vice versa
  5. That's who I thunk it were. I tired, goodnight
  6. If we are on same page then we are talking about same person based on my assumption of who i think u r talking about. Good guy. Never met him but have heard good things about him.
  7. So instead of purple and gold it may be ____________and gold?
  8. Cousin said he heard from local "wantabe coach" that they want an organizer who can build overall program.
  9. Like, uh, moving down hwy 87 about 17 miles?
  10. Had an old coach tell me one time, its not rocket science, dont try to over think, dont try to over prepare, comes back to blockling and tackling, and most of all get your kids to believe.
  11. I would bet you run what your oc wants.
  12. Wonder if the coach from Harleton applied, close to Tenaha
  13. It all comes back to blocking and tackling regardless of how many sets, plays, motions, shifts etc that you put in. "I run 6 plays, just like novacaine, give it time it always works." Great movie.
  14. Cousin said no names he has heard, something about jan 5th
  15. Which would be worst, staying in that dist or moving back up?
  16. Not much interest evidently. What would it take to make it an attractive situation?
  17. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but heard at one time in his career, GA Moore did something similar to this with his jh teams. T in jh and multiples in high school.
  18. I like the dead T because you can convert to split back veer and the power I very quickly, and you still have your quick pitches, crosses, and leads.
  19. Love the quote, never seen more qualified coaches than some of the pw coaches, and they are usually the ones who could win state with the hometown high school teams.
  20. Thing I like about it is they would learn the basic one on one blocking along with the simple double team blocks which are used in the st. T. Throw too much at them and they get confused. Notice that I left out peewee fundamentals altogether.
  21. Does anyone know of a head coach who requires his jh teams to run the straight T in order to learn the fundamentals first? Kind of interesting concept but it comes back to philosophy.
  22. Agree. Any school is better off if someone wants to be there. Cousin said that was not the case in Harleton last year. Hard to believe.
