Do any of you know their schedule for next fall?

New coach yet? Other coaches leaving? Stipends? Teaching Loads for coaches?

Do you think that on this day,Feb.3, 2012, there will be more resignations by head coaches than has been in the previous realignments? And if so, why?

I have already done the Elkhart thing some 30 years ago and Teague is too far from home. I live in the Longview-Marshall area.

Not many people remember the TV show "Destry". I really prefer football since that is most of my background, but not much of that going on in the spring. I have only coached football, basketball, and track. If any teaching, then social studies,HPE or all level pe. Do have admin. certificate also.

I retired a few years ago but am considering getting back in as a contract coach--if any openings I would be interested in talking.

Who will be the front runners? Any names yet?

A few years ago Normangee had a back by this name and I was wondering where he went and if still playing. Just curious-- was a good back.

Duh, I thot it was a topic about football defenses but that's what i get for thinking. Unless you have some very slow players why wouldn't you use multiples? Then, on the other hand, I know some coaches who wouldn't run a zone for any reason. Coached with one one time. Like the 12 men thing myself!

AND, one other thing, before it gets started, I know DA lives halfway between Harleton and Jefferson but I don't think he would be interested in the job. He has it toooo good in Harleton.

They will have a good principal to work with. Known him for years.

Well, hopefully most of the head jobs in football are filled at this time, but it will be interesting to think about how many assistants will be changing jobs this summer. Seems they are always changing even up through coaching school.

I have been out of the loop for a few days and just noticed that the AD Head Coach position is posted on Region 7 website. I could not find anything on Smoaky about it.

If you had the opportunity to sit down for 4 hours with an old school coach and strictly talk football and ask questions about coaching kids, x's and o's, and philosophy, who would it be? This is a hard question for me---I'm old school myself-----I think mine would be Grant Teaff.

I think ND is being overlooked by most. Adams and "the Mulkey" have gotten ND back where they were a few years ago-- they have gotten the spread out of the way and now are playing some football. My pick of the district is ND in a dogfight for first and second. Now take this awesome bit of knowledge and go buy a piece of bubble gum. Thats all it is worth.

I just don't think H can stay with LK because of speed and lack of speed. Just rest assured that H will be well prepared and well coached.

Wondering who the leading man is. Heard an assistant from Pine Tree had applied. He would do good. Also heard the talent level is down.

Trying to get info on them and the school, kids, coaches. Have a position open there I might look into .

Just for grins, I would like to know what the offenses were that the 20 teams run which played for the championships. I know that Daingerfield and Cayuga run the spread, but what about the other 18? Thanks

U2 me if it gets to August and you need a coach-----retired.
