I wonder if Coach Barker will throw his name in the hat. . . . .he has had a good run at Garrison and now Kaufman. He coached in the area for years and has a state championship at Henderson. I got to see this guy coach at Garrison. Seems like he would be a good fit.

Does anyone know the baseball scores from last night and standings for district 20A?

Not the best prescription for Henderson to drop to 3A........R u kidding me?!?!? Kilgore, Nac, and Whitehouse can beat all of the teams in district 3A-17 and 3A-18........J-Ville and Lindale can beat almost all of them. One of those districts would be where H-Town would land if they dropped to 3A. Henderson has about 965 kids in the school right now which is under the 4A 979 mark....... just being one of the largest 3A's would definately help them from being the smallest 4A. Not to mention that your bi-district playoff game is against 4A-13, the toughest district in the state with Sulphur Springs, Marshall, T-High, and Longview. By no means am I saying that they could beat Gilmer, C-Hill, or Carthage..right now.. but they have a better shot against the other teams in those districts than they do against the ones in 4A-14........but that's just my opinion.

The Henderson coach was not a finalist, however I did hear from one of the committee members that they were very impressed with him after his interview. Most of the time it is not about what can you do, but about what have you done lately..........

The other 2 are Jim Sides from Royse City and an assistant from Marshall.

I heard from a friend who heard from a friend who was told by the guy at the barber shop who heard from a client that someone from Henderson applied. Any truth to that?
