Saying that you've seen Tatum's style becuase they play man to man defense is absurd. There is a difference when its done right... Secondly calling the players lazy becuase they aren't taught how to play other types of defenses is just crazy! Lazy coaches are the ones that run zone all day long! A good man-to-man defense takes years to perfect, they've been learning this stuff since middle school! Just becuase you tell them to run man-to-man is different than running it to perfection (in which Tatum will do). A Knowing coach Carr, Tatum knows how to run every defense you can think of Box & 1, 2-3, and Man to Man ; not to mention multiple in your face press's that he can throw at you. I hope you enjoy what you see tommorrow too, but don't call the coaches lazy for only teaching man, that is ludicrous!

Alan Moye - Pine Tree - 2001 That kid was unbelievable, he knocked down pine trees in left feild during their batting practice. His swing reminded me of Ken Griffey Jr., so smooth. He hit 2 homeruns vs. Henderson IN Henderson in 2001. The first one cleared the 20 ft fence in center feild easily and was still going up on the way out!!! its 381 to center, that ball easily went 450.... His second homerun, all the scouts in attendance got in their cars and left after he hit it. Left feild is 320 and their is a barbed wire fence about 100 ft past that where the property line ends. He cleared the barbed wire fence :notworthy:

2001 was also the last year that all 3 major sports went to the playoffs in the same year for Henderson...and was one bucket away in basketball from winning district in all 3. And that was 4A! The basketball team beat whitehouse twice that year ( top 10 in the state), it was their only 2 loses heading into the playoffs.

Try taking 1980 thru 2003...20 years straight of winning seasons under D. Alexander and others. Before you begin to bash a program, get your history straight. Henderson has alot of History, and several NFL players to go along with it. After year 2000, the numbers began to decline and other district foes began to increase. When you have 980 students and others have 1900, just holding your own is very respectable. 1000 students makes a BIG difference. Like I said, get your facts straight. West Rusk is nothing but a stepchild when it comes to comparing past success with Henderson.

Sometimes we just toy with teams till halftime and only choose to play 2 quarters, why waste all that energy. I can't wait to see henderson take on this college team from ch. Do all of them already have full rides?

I don't think he is living in the past at all. 1989 is a pretty relevant year in terms of this matchup! Coach Meeks at CH and won it all, Henderson was in the same district as them and WON DISTRICT! And Chapel Hill is less than 5 minutes into Tyler, I consider it an extension of Tyler.
