Chris Edwards in Hughes Springs has done a great job! His record is like 53-10 in two years in the drivers seat! Gets alot out of the kids and they play hard for this guy!

I really don't think it's a small detail. Some major differences between the two. Although I admit from the experts (fans in the stands) it looks the same. Drive, down, toss ... it's all the same. lol Compliments of the great JC (Tuff, I'm not referring to you, I don't know you.) Most fans can't draw up a single defensive alignment and gripe and complain repeatedly about play calling, personnel, etc. Anyway, I'm going to say both teams have a great chance this week and both have a chance of advancing deep in the playoffs. Man, should be a tough one....can't wait to see how it turns out!! I think this one will be determined by 2 things. If LE has multiple 'big plays' on offense and special team returns. Can Pewitt execute and play 'keep away'? Of course this may be the M.O. for Pewitt the entire pre-season with their schedule!! I don't even want to pick this one.

Hughes Springs should be the favorite due to discipline and execution. However, this early in the season athletic ability and speed could take over, or at least put the other team in a bind even on a busted play or such. I do think the C'ville coaches have done an excellent job with those kids since DL took over. I'll say Hughes Springs 34 Clarksville 27

I'm not so sure that ya'll would want to schedule PP this year. You might (or might not) beat them. However, ya'll would be beat up afterwards. Probably wouldn't be worth it for you. Next year may very well be the woodshed scenerio again, but not this year.

I think Idalou will be a top 4 team in 2A Div II and Clarksville should be sitting at #4 in 1A.

It will be in Clarksville. Pewitt by 3 TD's. And I know Clarksville is fast and talented, believe me.

I hope the new guy in D'field isn't just another metroplex complex. I predict they'll still be successful, just not 15-1. Can't beat Gilmer and someone else will beat them in regular play. I'm calling oh ... 10-3. Hughes Springs blows thru everyone and represents in Cowgirl Stadium! Pewitt has a killer preseason, a weak district, and has to get thru HS to get to Big 'D'
