Carthage, with all due respect, had regular season losses-in fact several. I've been around awhile and can't come up with one. Maybe mr Puckett will share where he went to school and when. Doing it twice would be impressive. Anyway, surely some smoaky historian can find one somewhere.

A baseball fan's dream matchup. Two tradition-rich teams teeing it up at Mike Carter with a trip to Austin on the line. I've watched and admired both for many years. I haven't seen CH this year but their record, ranking, and spot in the regional finals all indicate that they have a fine ball club. As for HS, I saw them once during the regular season and twice in the playoffs. Teams this young making it this far are pretty rare. But trust me, these young men know how to play the game. The only sure winner here will be east tx baseball fans. It promises to be a well-played and entertaining series. The result is TOO CLOSE TO CALL but I will make one prediction. Whoever advances becomes the STATE CHAMPION next week.

HS/DFLD-----I decided to drive over and see for myself-- i've followed the HS program for several years now--quality program that has produced many top players-- I was not disappointed last night--these kids can flat out swing the bat-- i keep hearing how young they are-- could someone list the starters and what grade they are in

well put jakebrake----coach stewart is outstanding and what a 1st class baseball program in all aspects--ive watched the program for several years and no other 2a program in the state has produced the caliber of players that hughes springs has---my sources there tell me that if anyone else wants to win this district, it better be this year----apparently, things are gonna be pretty tough for the opposition for the next 5 years---is it true that more talent is on the way?
