  1. The sad thing about all of it is that he's making a fortune off the hysteria he's created. I don't mind so much that he's being capitalistic, just disheartening to know that there are that many idiots out there throwing money his way at a problem that doesn't exist.
  2. I think the whole entire thing is absolutely ridiculous...according to the reports the girl still has her scholarship from Baylor, what the heck is the big deal? The fact that her parents are calling racism and sexism, when since 2000 CH has had all female valedictorians, including one African-American (who went to Notre Dame btw) is beyond ludicrous... More importantly, what the heck is the big deal in the long run about being Valedictorian? I was the Salutatorian in 2005 at Chapel Hill and just like the Valedictorian, I got a sash, a certificate, and the opportunity to give a speech at the ceremony. The same, I'm sure, will be given to her. If she wants to make a statement, give a better speech than the Val, that would be my advice to her. I've only been out of HS for a few years so I still have a good memory of my high school years, but how many of you actually remember who the Valedictorian and Salutatorian was of your high school class? In the end, either position is great and affords you many opportunities.
  3. Yes that same Rodriguez....I'm not saying Sherman won't be successful, I just have my doubts. I agree that given time he might get "his" recruits to run "his" system, but Rodriguez runs the spread---the same offense that a majority of HS in Texas run. He also has a proven track record as a collegiate HC. Maybe Bryne knows something I don't. Perhaps he did go after Rodriguez, but he wanted to stay up north, i dont know. But something tells me if a school like A&M would have approached Rich Rod, with the kind of athletes we have in Texas, he would have jumped at the opportunity. Btw, Rodriguez's QB recruit coming in next year to run his offense, hails from Texas.
  4. I was never a fan of this hire for A&M. I don't understand how a school like A&M, with its facilities and boosters, didn't make a run at Rich Rodriguez or some big name coach. Instead they hire Sherman who has no HC experience at the collegiate level. At the end of the day I just don't see Sherman gettin the top level recruits over Mack and Stoops...
  5. I'm not sure I understand his logic. He says the rest of the season doesn't matter. He says that the only thing that matters it that Texas beat OU. Then he throws out Tech's win against Texas by bringing up some games from the rest of Tech's schedule.
  6. Its gonna be tough for you to run in 2028, when that will be my re-election year, after winning in 2024
  7. Nothing wrong with being a burger flipper...I worked at Burger King all four years i was in HS and the past 3 summers ive been home from school...Learned more working there then I have in some of my classes
  8. If Obama is elected.... Go out, buy a helmet, and put it on... We're gonna need it....
  9. I think Jam might have been interviewed...
  10. He stopped her because she said she couldn't trust him because "he was an Arab." McCain came to Obama's defense, because whether you want to admit it, not all white people are racists. See, McCain is better than that, unlike Obama who has yet to denounce a fellow Dem. Congressman's remarks implicating McCain and Palin with the boming in Birmingham in the 60's...
  11. You're right, what Bleeds calls Obama doesn't matter...but the fact that Obama has been reportedly implicated in a felony DOES matter...you see its this thing called integrity...Obama doesn't have any
  12. That's all you have? It doesn't matter? To borrow a phrase from Bleeds... Weak.
  13. I guess "point" probably wasn't the best word choice...I just meant that I hadn't heard about the one Congressmen implicating McCain and Palin with the bombing in Birmingham in the 60's and how we haven't heard anyone on Obama's side calling for him to repudiate his statements, but every time McCain points something out about Obama, he's a racist...
  14. Senator McCain joined Glen Beck on his radio show this morning...follow the link for a complete transcript... McCain brings up an interesting point about "racist" comments; one that I hadn't even heard about... http://www.glennbeck.com/content/articles/article/196/16766/
  15. I hope you're right AB, I'm starting to worry about the absurdly huge amount of stupid people in this country and what they just might do on the first tuesday in November...
