Agree, didn't expect Madisonville to win. I don't think Caldwell will be able to move the ball much against the Teague defense & don't think Caldwell's defense is as good as Groesbeck's. Teague wins by a couple of TDs

Norvell will be a huge improvement, he's the 2nd best coach on the offensive side. Now if Heard is named starter, we may yet win enough to be bowl eligible.....maybe.......

I just watched Watson say Heard didn't return because "we" felt like Ty gave us the best chance to succeed. There is no place on a football coaching staff for someone that believes Tyrone Swoopes playing QB is a positive for your team! I don't care what the OL looks like. Watson must go asap!

I'm more disappointed in the pass defense. ND is killing our zone. I knew what to expect from Swoopes, he's still the same QB as last year.

I agree Yoe09. I think region III is quite a bit better than the rest again and as much as I love my Teague Lions, I don't think we're in position to compete with Cameron yet. However, I don't think anyone else in 3A is either. Yall gonna have your hands full with CS. They're the real deal this year.

Congrats to Mexia. They look poised to repeat as Dst champs. Gipson was on fire & has several sure handed weapons, good kicking game, & a salty OL & the defense is solid, #5 & Freeman are outstanding. Teague will be fine, I expect a repeat of Dst champs from the Lions as well.

Maybe I'll be proven wrong & Swoopes or Heard will develop this year, but I think neither are the positive answer to the QB prob & I think the coaches know it. Heard would've won the job if he was clearly better. And while I agree with many comments about the OL being terrible last yr, what I saw from Swoopes didn't look too encouraging either. I'm seeing 6-7 wins max and another year of a QB battle.

Well I'm sure glad this thread didn't remain boring....

This could get ugly, depending on how long Swoopes stays in. I'm preparing for another long season & looking forward to basketball!
