  1. as well as Chapel Hill didn't see Kilgore's entire playbook....my guess is because there is a good chance these two meet again in a few weeks...granted both take care of business
  2. If Chapel Hill beats Kilgore by 14 or more they get 1st seed
  3. #4(Stoker didn't play)...#90 on DL was out...#44 FB/LB was out...#84 (Christian) was in and out limping around but played
  4. Kilgore looked tired and like we were just going through the motions...glad we me made it to the bye week...we are beat up pretty good and definitely could use a week off to get healthy and regroup
  5. anything is possible...but it would take Henderson playing out of their minds and Kilgore playing their worst game of the year...sorry, I cant see both of those happening...I know it's a rivalry and crazy crap happens but I believe Henderson will have to do something nobody has done yet....and that's score 40 or more pts on Kilgore...I truly believe that's what it will take...oh and your going to have to hold Kilgore under that... possible just not likely though...guess we about to find out!!
  6. I think they do on youtube....I found some of their games this year under Henderson Lion Football
  7. all I remember is Kilgore missing a chip shot FG early after a stalled drive and had another chip shot FG blocked after a stalled drive...2 big opportunities that led to no pts....then the big fumble at the end of the game by Ross. I don't remember Chill RB doing much in the game but I do recall Brisbon getting loose on a couple and one was like a 60- 70 yd TD run...it was a battle the whole game that was literally a couple of plays from Kilgore moving on instead of CHILL....but Kilgore didn't get it done and CHILL did that night....hopefully we find a way to make those plays this year.. We shall see!!!
  8. I think people forget Chapel Hill only beat Kilgore 24-21(in 2022) and 42 -36 in double OT (in 2021)....literally a play or 2 go the other way and Kilgore is the team playing in the semifinals the past 2 years...
  9. Well, stat wise Chapel Hill defense last year averaged giving up 24 pts in the first 6 games...this year they average 30...
  10. wait what...he said, he talked to a lot of Kilgore "Fans" about them saying Lindale shouldn't beat us because of other matchups... like they are the one's who will be playing the game..lol...I promise you ain't no player or coach looking past Lindale...Fans can look past whomever they want that's why they are just fans....smh
  11. even if Kilgore were to lose this matchup I will think no differently on if Kilgore can compete with Chapel Hill and whether their defense is legit or not...I know for a fact they can and I know for a fact our defense is legit....I think they have proven that in the past 6 weeks against some pretty quality opponents...now, can they have a let down game and not play as well offensively and defensively as a unit and get beat...yes, of course they can... Lindale has a good team with very good coaching that can take advantage of situations if Kilgore doesn't play well...but, in the end if Lindale wins or if Lindale even scores more pts on our defense than anyone this year I will not think any differently about their chances the rest of the way on whether they can beat Chapel Hill or whomever....the scary part is even as well as Kilgore has been playing I still don't think they are at their peak yet...they just keep getting better and better every week!!...this team has the chance to be special
  12. I agree...only way I see anyone getting anywhere near that or heck even 40 pts is with special teams TD's or turnovers....as far as a teams offense just running up and down the field on our defense I just cant see it happening ....but, heck it's high school football so who knows...Lindale is a good team especially offensively and they are very well coached... so, they are capable if Kilgore doesn't play well
  13. We lost one of our starting Oline before Carthage game...but have filled in nice...our starting LB/RB( #15 Hardy) is out with a knee injury...he is hopeful to be back later in the season from what I have heard...thats all I'm aware of
  14. Nothing but respect for Lindale...they are are a good team and very well coached...I know they will make this a game...there's just something about this Kilgore team though and I believe they show up and get the job done...Lindale will compete but in the end I just think Kilgore will be too much....should be an awesome environment
  15. this is the game last year where Kilgore's offense came to life...so far this season our offense hasn't looked like it's in sync but, then again we went through the same thing last year...the first 3 games last year our offense only scored 50 pts (10 against Carthage, 26 against Gilmer, and 14 to PT) and I remember thinking the same thing that our offense was struggling....and then, boom it came to life!!..so far this year they have scored 69 pts, which is better than last year.....I think the difference is the D has allowed 39 less pts this year in the 1st 3 games...
  16. Hallsville scheduled Kilgore for homecoming next week as well...
  17. Kilgore Media will carry as well on youtube....look under Kilgore Media (Kilgore vs Carthage)...probably won't have commentary but should be able to watch
  18. not all mistakes are self inflicted....good teams are capable of causing the other team to do things that are uncharacteristic from the norm...Carthage was just good enough that night to overcome them....but, it just goes goes to show you 1 bad night no matter how good you think you are...you can be beat!!!
  19. If Kilgore somehow pulls off this so called impossible task and wins Friday there's gonna be a lot of head scratching going on...Kilgore is more than capable and talented enough to make this possible if they play well and execute at a high level which is a tall task being this early in the season...I would bet Carthage coaches feel the same way though and know that if they don't play well and Kilgore does that they can be beat...will it happen..??...guess we will have to wait and see Friday...good thing that football can bounce in funny ways!!...I honestly just want to see us compete and give ourselves a fighting chance...either way, a Carthage loss doesn't mean they still won't win another championship and a Kilgore win doesn't mean Kilgore will now win state...it's not the best team that always wins just who plays the best that night
  20. I could be wrong or maybe I miss heard something but if you are picking Chapel Hill and Lumberton to both win district they cannot meet in the regional finals...they will meet in the 3rd round just like last year....
  21. If your relying on calling it the " District of Doom" based off having 2 or 3 teams every year "competing" for State then I think here lately you could call it that...if your getting put out by your own district teams every year in the 3rd or 4th rounds with 1 either playing for State or the Semis I would say that's a pretty good point to argue....I think the confusion comes from the fact it used to only be 3 teams make the playoffs and 1 school went big and 2 went small where you could potentially have 2 teams from the same district play for State or play in the semis....that will never happen again since district's will play each other in the 3rd and 4th rounds...but I honestly could care less either way what you call the district...I just know for a fact that in the past 3 or so years it was our our own district teams that have put each other out and all 3 were capable of playing in the semis...I'm sure there are other districts of doom across the state...some doomier than others....??...so call yourself a district of doom too...who cares....I just know our district is pretty dang solid and have been at least 2 or 3 teams capable of playing for State if it wasn't for our own district teams...jmo
